【Kalis Ilustrisimo Cinco De Cadena: Module 1 by Master John Chow】

Master John Chow 將於 2026年9月30日 蒞臨香港，分享其 Kalis Ilustrisimo Cinco De Cadena 系統的Module 1。

Master John Chow是Kalis Ilustrisimo 的早期修習者之一，多年來一直向世界各地的FMA愛好者致力推廣和傳承 Kalis Ilustrisimo 的技藝與理念。

本次活動能跟隨Master John Chow Kalis了解Ilustrisimo的武術體系，並與世界各地的同道一起延續這門武藝。

完成課程只是第一步。課後持續練習和投入，將能獲得由Master John Chow認證的Module 1 證書，標誌自身的努力與進步。

Master John Chow is in Hong Kong to share his system of Kalis Ilustrisimo Cinco De Cadena on 30 September 2026.

Master John Chow is not only an early practitioner of Kalis Ilustrisimo but also introduced this system to passionated eskrimador world wide.

第十四屆菲律賓魔杖比賽完滿結束，今年各門派各地選手雲集，進行三組共36場精彩對決。🎊

感謝各位選手的投入參與，修習武術絕不只發生在賽場的數分鐘，而是由長久的鍛鍊積累而成，菲律賓魔杖挑戰賽的初衷，正是希望團結各個在香港鑽研菲律賓魔杖和兵器的群體，以比賽交流切磋，一同精進武藝；同時亦藉此機會推廣安全而保留技術性的比賽方式，培養大眾對兵器武術的興趣和了解。以下是本屆得獎者名單：

Kalis Brotherhood Stick Fighting Competition 2026 has successfully concluded! 🎊

This year, practitioners from different clubs came together to compete in three divisions across 36 exciting matches.

A huge thank you to all fighters for your dedication and participation. Martial arts is never just about the few minutes spent inside the ring. It is the result of countless hours of training, discipline, and perseverance.

Since its inception, the Competition has aimed to unite the various communities in Hong Kong dedicated to Filipino Martial Arts and weapons-based martial arts. Through competition, we encourage practitioners to exchange skills, test themselves, and grow together.

At the same time, we hope to promote a format of competition that is both safe and technically demanding, while looking for more people develop an interest in and understanding of weapons-based martial arts.

「大家好！我是 John Chow，功夫、太極拳及菲律賓魔杖的修習者。

我們香港的同門，將於 2026 年 8 月 29 日星期六舉辦第十四屆菲律賓魔杖挑戰賽。我誠意邀請所有 魔杖士，以及熱愛魔杖格鬥的朋友一同參與。

這將會是一場非常有趣、非常精彩的賽事，無論任何風格、任何體系，都歡迎參加！

我想邀請香港以及鄰近地區所有魔杖士，無論你來自香港、澳門、台灣、新加坡、馬來西亞、越南、菲律賓，甚至遠至澳洲，都歡迎你們前來支持，並親身參與這場盛會！

來挑戰自己，驗證自己的技術，也帶著公平競技的精神站上賽場。

“Hello. I am John Chow, a practitioner of kung fu, Tai Chi, and Eskrima. Our Kali Brothers, our Eskrima Brothers in Hong Kong, have organized a stick fighting tournament on the 29 August, 2026 this Saturday . I encourage all eskrimadors and stick fighting enthusiasts to participate, if possible. It's a very interesting tournament, and all styles are welcome.

So please, all eskrimadors from the region or near the region, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan.
Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, of course, and even as far as Australia.
Please give your support, and please participate if you can.

Come and test your skills, and be fair there. Enjoy yourselves, and I hope everybody enjoys themselves.

今天是 Mang Tony 的忌日。Master Tony Diego 與Kalis Brotherhood淵源深厚，本會成立初期，創辦人Andy Chan及喬靖夫 在 Master John Chow引薦下有幸獲 Mang Tony親授Kalis Ilustrisimo 的技藝。而他的技藝與精神，仍然透過一代又一代的修習者延續下去。

Mang Tony 用一生守護 Tatang Ilustrisimo 的武術傳承，也讓香港後學有機會接觸那種簡潔、直接而實用的刀法，令我們受益良多。

今天謹以此文懷念這位為 Kalis Ilustrisimo 傳承奉獻畢生心力的前輩。Rest in Peace, Master Tony Diego.

Today marks the passing anniversary of our Mang Tony.

Master Tony Diego shared a deep bond with the Kalis Brotherhood.
In the early days, through the introduction of Master John Chow, our founders, Sifu Andy and Ming, were honoured to be taught the art of Kalis Ilustrisimo by Mang Tony.

His skills and spirit continue to live on through generations and gave the opportunity to Hong Kong practitioners to experience this beautiful and practical blade-art.

We dedicate this post is to the memory of a great master who devoted his whole life to the lineage of Kalis Ilustrisimo.

Rest in Peace, Master Tony Diego.

「我是菲律賓Kalis Ilustrisimo Repetición Orihinal 總教練 Narzo Arnold，現時正在美國進行一系列工作坊和講座活動。2026年8月29日，香港將會舉行第十四屆菲律賓魔杖挑戰賽。我邀請香港所有熱愛菲律賓武術、尤其是魔杖格鬥的朋友，一起來參加這項每年一度的盛事。親身來實踐你們的技術、勇氣，以及體現團隊精神。

我亦在此預祝所有參與這項賽事的選手，以及所有得獎者。我期待看到一場公平、精彩的比賽，以及感受到寶貴的體育精神。到時見！」

“Hey, this is Coach Arnold, the chief instructor of the Kalis Ilustrisimo Repetición Orihinal of the Philippines. For the meantime, I'm here in USA for the series of workshops and seminars.

On 29 August 2026 in Hong Kong, there will be a stick fighting tournament happening.

I'm calling to all the Filipino martial arts stick fighting enthusiasts here in Hong Kong to come and join this yearly event.

【Kalis Brotherhood Stick Fighting Competition 2026- Match Bracket announcement】

This year, we have 21 elite competitors from Hong Kong and even overseas from Taiwan, and Philippine. All will be joining the Single Stick - Open and 14 will be competing in Double Sticks - Open. Proudly to announce that Single Stick - Women category is formed and 2 fighters will compete for the gold straight.

With only a few days left until fight day, it’s time for all athletes to bring their absolute best and ready for the showdowns this Saturday!
