The ‘Hey Lady! Confident English Podcast’ is here!

And no… It’s not just another podcast about English grammar, vocabulary or useful phrases.

Because after teaching 6 million English learners worldwide, discovered something surprising:

The biggest thing stopping women from speaking English confidently isn’t a lack of knowledge.
Or grammar rules. Or vocabulary. 🙅‍♀️

💭 It’s the internal (& often invisible!) BELIEFS they hold about themselves.

Beliefs like…
❌ “My English isn’t good enough.”
❌ “I’m too shy to speak.”
❌ “Everyone speaks better than me.”

😰 "What if I make a mistake?"

For many women learning English, this fear is the #1 thing that STOPS them from speaking up in conversations - even when they have something say.

Instead of learning THROUGH mistakes (like we did as kids), women want to wait until their English is "perfect" before speaking with others.

🚫 But waiting until you're "ready" just keeps you STUCK, exactly where you are.

The more you avoid English conversations and situations out of fear, the more likely you are to freeze and forget your words when someone asks you a question. 😰

Because when your anxiety is UP, your confidence goes DOWN.

The good news? The cycle can work in REVERSE too!

The Hey Lady! Globe-Trotters are at it again! 🌎✈️

On 15th May, 60 Hey Lady! Members from all over Europe & the UK travelled to Dublin, Ireland for an in-person meetup 😍🇮🇪
Two members, Sunghye and Sprya, even travelled from USA & India to be part of the fun! 🤯

An *international* event, organised and hosted 100% by Hey Lady! MEMBERS! 🤩💖

(Can we just say… You know you’re part of a real, ‘living & breathing’ community when the MEMBERS are committed to planning international travel experiences for each other at *this* scale!!! We are so proud and grateful for these women 🫶😭)

Just look at the FUN they had together!
🍰They started with a picnic and English ice-breaker games in Phoenix Park
🚍The planning crew booked an entire Dublin hop-on-hop-off bus JUST for Hey Lady! members (a private city tour, helllloooo!? This is *so cool*!)
☘️ Dinner & dancing together in a famous Irish pub (+ lots of laughter!)

The 60 women went on to spend the rest of the weekend together, exploring Dublin, spending quality time together… And doing it ALL in English! 🔥

Huge, huge, HUGE shoutout to the incredible planning committee behind this epic in-person meetup: Christine, Tamy, Emanuela, Francesca, Clara and Cha. Thank you for making this meetup magic happen - yet again!!! 💫
