Three Grandmasters rolled into Barry on Sunday.

Race five of the Welsh Super Series 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Dylan bagged a top 10 on debut in the series.

Dan strengthened his position at the top of the V40 standings with another win.

Emma took 2nd in her age group, continuing the transition back to short-course racing after a summer focused on middle distance.

Next up, Bala.

Race six for Emma and Dan this weekend, while Dylan gets a week off before going to face the Dragon 🐉

Quality showing, team.

Haute Route Alps | Étape 3

Briançon → Alpe d’Huez 81km | 2,375m

Day 1: restraint. Day 2: race. Day 3: empty it.

That was the plan anyway.

The racing went hard early on the Col du Lautaret. Pritch missed the split, paid for trying to stay with it and had to settle back into his own race.

By the top he'd slipped to 11th on GC.

Not ideal.

But there was still a lot of racing left.

Reset on the descent. Then started squeezing.

Col de Sarenne onwards became one long progressive effort. Positions started coming back. A 5:45 gap to 6th at the start of the day was down to around 1:30.

Then Alpe d’Huez.

Nothing left to protect. No numbers to save for tomorrow.

Just empty it.

The result was an all-time 60-minute power PB, on the third day of racing, up the most famous climb of them all.

Étape: 7th Classement Général: 7th

Three days. 404km. 10,005m of climbing.

Job done.
