KUMA DOJO kumadojo.com Once upon a time, there was a very ferocious bear that escaped the concrete jungle. They took care of the bear, and taught him judo.

KUMA DOJO is a Hong Kong judo dojo in Shek Tong Tsui, dedicated to authentic Kodokan Judo training for kids, students and adults, from ukemi, throws and groundwork to etiquette, kata and competition. This bear traveled to a far away place, ...where the people were very friendly. Slowly, the ferocious bear lost his ruthlessness, as the coaches took him by the hand and taught him the rituals, techni

ques and the Way of judo. After many years, the bear returned to the concrete jungle and passed on the judo he had learned to other people, in order to repay those who had taught him. Since the establishment of the current dan system, KUMA is the first Kodokan school graduate Chinese judoka to achieve a Kodokan 5th Dan, through continuous competing and winning the rigorous and highly contested Kodokan Tsukinami Shiai. KUMA will continue to develop his judo in the future and upcoming Kodansha shiai. Let the next chapter begin❣

The Kodokan’s “Kohaku Shiai” (Red and White Tournament) in Japan has a history of 142 years to date.

This traditional tournament was first held around the 17th year of the Meiji era (1884). Introduced shortly after Jigoro Kano founded the Kodokan in 1882, this competition format is one of the most historically significant and continuously held events in the judo world.

And today! It has been passed down to us. I don’t know how long this path will endure, but as long as we are here, it definitely won’t end with my generation. Kuma💚Judo
