Our first Flying Social of the season, done 👏. Huge thanks to for hosting our kiwi-themed pub quiz! Brilliant venue, excellent hosts, delicious food and drink, top-tier quiz questions and slightly above average quiz-goers. Generous prizes to boot!

Think you’ve got what it takes to be a Flying Kiwi?

Well, bad news – we’re still not flying. But we 𝘢𝘳𝘦 still floating, paddling, and having a bloody good time doing it.

Join us for our 2025 Open Day on Saturday 22 Feb from 2-4pm at Stanley Main Beach and give dragon boating a go! No experience needed, just a willingness to get a bit wet and possibly make some new mates (no guarantees, some of us are weird).

Just when you thought you'd seen the last of us!! The Flying Kiwis are back and bolder than ever, readying ourselves for a flying Autumn season 🤙

On the menu we have four trainings, including two sunset paddles for ~the vibe~ and two gorgeous afternoon sessions in the lead up to 27 October... The Discovery Bay Dragon Boat Gala 🐲🥁

Keen to dip your toe (or pinky finger) into the world of social dragon boating? Come and join us! You don't need any experience, nor do you need a Kiwi passport. All we require is a can-do attitude and the ability to roast/jeer/graciously support Coach O (or K, though she may be "taking a step back...") (yeah, right) when they're at the bow.

$800 gets you lunch, drinks, a speedboat to and from the beach, and a front row view of the Stanley International Dragon Boat Championships. Spots are going fast, so grab yours quick!

Come one, come all, as we fly into the 2024 dragon boat season in style! We're buzzing with excitement for our kickoff social next Saturday at , an epic sponsor of ours and a local tavern renowned for its plentiful brews and mouthwatering food 🍻

From 6pm onward, come mingle with familiar faces and fresh fliers alike. Share a few smiles, tales from the seas, and maybe even a rousing rendition of 'Tutira Mai Nga Iwi' if you're lucky - or unlucky enough - to be stuck listening to us! Even rivals are welcome to fraternise, as we all know competition on the water doesn't mean we can't bond over a bevvy.
