Formed in 2006 as Stormy Dragons, Stormys grew to be a force in dragon boat racing in Hong Kong, with the women's team in particular achieving notable success. Stormys now competes in both dragon boat racing and outrigger canoeing (OC6 and OC1) in Hong Kong and occasionally overseas. We welcome both experienced paddlers and complete beginners to come and join us to train and race! It's a great way meet new friends, get fit, or just enjoy getting out on the beautiful waters around Hong Kong.

🐉 What a week for dragon boating in Hong Kong!

A huge congratulations to everyone who took part in the Official Dragon Boat Festival races on Friday 19th. It was fantastic to see Stormys represented across so many crews, with our paddlers out on the water celebrating one of the biggest events in the paddling calendar. 💙

As we head into the International Races this weekend, we want to wish the very best of luck to every crew competing in two days of world-class racing on Victoria Harbour.

A warm welcome to all the overseas teams joining us in Hong Kong, and to all our local crews race hard, paddle strong, and enjoy every moment. We’ll be cheering you on! 🚣‍♀️🔥

Peaceful Sunday mornings are best spent on the water.

Gliding through the calm waters of Tai Tam Bay, surrounded by nature and good company, is the perfect way to reset for the week ahead. Every paddle is a reminder to slow down, breathe deeply, and appreciate the beauty that’s right on our doorstep. 🌊✨

A fantastic day on the water with 11 boats representing five different outrigger clubs from across Hong Kong.

Crews from the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club were the fastest to reach Po Toi in both official race categories Mixed Standard and Mixed Unlimited earning the coveted traditional prize: a complimentary plate of salt & pepper squid. The rest of us? We had to pay for our own lunch.

Great racing, great company, and another memorable paddle to one of Hong Kong’s most iconic destinations. 🌊🚣‍♂️
