Gap Year or Career Break:

Taking a gap year or career break can be one of the most important decisions you’ll make. What you do with this time is something you’ll remember forever, so you want it to be a unique and worthwhile experience. On a Snow Trainers course you are sure to improve your skills, have a great time, learn a great deal and probably meet some life-long friends as well. Dedicated

to you:

At Snow Trainers our owners are also trainers and examiners - we don't spend our time sitting in an office hundreds of miles from the closest ski resort! In fact, several of our owners/trainers were selected for the demo team to represent New Zealand at the 2011 INTERSKI event in St. Anton, Austria and again in 2015 in Argentina! Whatever your needs, the Snow Trainers team can look after you. If you would like a private room for your accommodation, want to arrive early or stay longer, take some extra heli-ski runs, or would like extra coaching - we can make it happen. We live and breathe skiing and snowboarding and love the fact that we can share this passion with our students. To find out more about the owners and course managers you can find profiles of Matt Phare and Tony Macri on the NZSIA/SBINZ website. The best ski and snowboard trainers:

Snow Trainers ski and snowboard coaches are Trainers and Examiners for the NZSIA / SBINZ (New Zealand) and the PSIA / AASI (USA). Who else would you want to be trained by other than the actual coaches who run the certification exams and decide who makes the grade? Your trainers have many years of experience both instructing and training students to become instructors, so they know what you need for the exams and also what’s required in the real world of instructing. All of the above factors result in a fantastic and fun learning environment where students will excel. That's why we have such a high pass rate! World class qualifications:

The New Zealand and USA instructor qualifications are highly regarded around the world, with many instructors working in Europe, North America, Australia, Japan and New Zealand. Of our graduates looking to continue as instructors, all have been able to use their skills and qualifications attained during their training to secure jobs in the industry. Help finding your dream job:

As part of our training we provide information and advice to help our students “live the dream” once the course has finished. We have a great network of connections all around the world to help you begin instructing at a fantastic resort the following winter.

This Ep.3 is another riding task assessed in AASI Level 1 - switch skidded turns! The ability to ride switch is essential in freestyle and also important in doing a good demo to students riding in your opposite stance. Challenge yourself to ride the same terrains in switch! -AASI AASI Rocky Mountain

This Ep.2 is another riding task assessed in AASI Level 1 - skidded turns. This task is basic but key in our riding focusing on using the front knee to steer the snowboard. Check out the fun analogy with the laser pointer! -AASI AASI Rocky Mountain
