Reading Toddy’s 19-year underground epic brings back incredible memories. Although I wasn’t part of the core exploration team, I was fortunate enough to tour his exploration route and see what he’s built.
This cave holds a very special place for me, as I am one of only 21 people in the world who have ever spent a night deep inside its chambers. Experiencing that absolute isolation for just one night made me realize how much dedication it takes to do this for nearly two decades. His passion is purely inspiring. Today, my article about the Bel Torrente Multi-Siphon cave system was published in InDEPTH Magazine, and I am proud to finally share it with the community.
This article tells the story of years of exploration, discovery, challenges, and teamwork in one of Sardinia’s most fascinating underwater cave systems.
A special thank you to Stratis Kas, who inspired me to write this article. Through countless interviews, discussions, and ongoing collaboration, we worked together to bring this story to life.
