Operation Breakthrough Directors Brian Ling and Peter Yip joined the Wong Tai Sin Police District school sharing session held on 18 September.

This well‑attended forum brought together principals and representatives from 24 secondary schools and 28 primary schools in Wong Tai Sin, alongside members of the Wong Tai Sin District Fight Crime Committee, to reinforce police‑school partnership and build a robust safety net for local youth 🛡️

During the session, Peter gave an insightful sharing covering Operation Breakthrough’s history and real‑life success stories. He illustrated how the programme creates tangible, life‑changing impact for vulnerable youth in need — through sports‑based engagement and positive interaction with police officers, young participants receive meaningful support and turn their lives around.

We deeply value this cross‑sector exchange with educators. Moving forward, we will keep partnering with schools and law‑enforcement stakeholders to nurture a safe and healthy growth environment for our young generation 🌟

Every year, Operation Breakthrough holds 3 life-changing adventure camps. This summer, we took our youth to the JPC centre in Pat Heung for an unforgettable two-day experience!

Through a series of intense, high-energy physical and mental challenges, our participants pushed past their comfort zones. They didn’t just climb walls or navigate courses, they built absolute confidence, teamwork, leadership, and respect. Most importantly, they learned how to face failure head-on and turn it into resilience.

We were backed by an incredible, powerhouse lineup of volunteers! We had veteran mentors from our very own Breakthrough boxing, dragon boat, rugby, running, and dance teams, standing side-by-side with amazing new faces from specialized police units!

Watching our youth grind through hardship under the hot sun, cheered on by this incredible network of mentors, reminded us what Breakthrough is all about. We are building a stronger, safer future—together! 🌟❤️

🚣‍♂️ Sport Can Change Lives! 🏆

What an incredible day on the water! To celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Operation Breakthrough (奮進行動), our youth paddlers took on the ultimate test of teamwork, endurance, and grit at the Dragon Boat Charity Race!

Despite the scorching Hong Kong heat, our youngsters pushed through every stroke, showing true resilience. Dragon boating demands absolute unity when everyone paddles as one, no challenge is too big!
Together, We Made a Difference! ❤️

As of today, our Breakthrough Dragon Boat Team has raised a total of HK$40,760! A massive thank you to over a hundred incredible donors—including our team members' kids, families, volunteer friends, and so many kind-hearted supporters from across the community. Your generosity directly empowers youth at risk through the power of sport.

A special thank you to our title sponsor, 香港華夏獅子會 (The Lions Club of HuaXia Hong Kong), for making this event possible, as well as Director of Dance Deny Leung and Director of Rugby Peter Yip for coming out to cheer on our paddlers!

Following the success of our rugby program at the Chak Yan Society of Boys’ Centre, Operation Breakthrough is thrilled to announce the launch of our trial boxing classes at the Hui Chung Sing Society of Boys' Centre!

Society of Boys’ Centres provide critical residential and educational support for youths facing behavioral or family challenges. With 7 specialized centers across Hong Kong, our goal is to bring the transformative power of sport to as many of them as possible.

We are BACK on the court! 🏀🔥

Following a post-Covid break, the Operation Breakthrough basketball team has officially restarted training. We are incredibly proud to partner with the Hong Kong Playground Association for this relaunch, driven by the passion of our enthusiastic police volunteers who are stepping up as coaches and mentors.

This project is currently led by our Director of Rugby, Peter Yip, who is pulling dual duty to oversee both sports programs and drive our mission forward!

Yesterday, Operation Breakthrough launched an exciting new chapter for our Boxing Section at the Society of Boys’ Centre Hui Chung Sing Memorial School. Over 50 students joined us for a powerful session themed “Strive for Life” (拼搏人生), introducing them to the discipline of boxing ahead of two practical trial lessons coming up this July.

We are thrilled to officially introduce and congratulate our new Boxing Directors, Doris Tsang and Edwin Ng as they step into their leadership roles! Both are decorated athletes who have represented the Hong Kong Police Boxing Club (PBC) and share a deep, long-standing history with Breakthrough.

At the same time, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our outgoing director, Mr. Eric Wong, for his incredible dedication, mentorship, and invaluable contributions to our youth over the years🙏🏿❤️

🔥 PAC Adventure Challenge 2026 | Breakthrough in Action! 🏃‍♂️💨

What a day! Our Director, Mr. YIP Man-kuen, led two of our Breakthrough Boys through a grueling 11km orienteering course starting from the Tai Po JPC Club House all the way to Sheung Shui. 🗺️📍

But the finish line was just the beginning. The team headed to the Police Tactical Unit (PTU) to smash a series of high-intensity challenges, including:
🧗‍♂️ Rope ladder climbs
⚽ Cooperative ball passing
⚡ Agility runs

We were honored to have our Chairman, Mr. David Jordan, on-site to cheer the team on—his presence sent morale through the roof! 📈🙌🏽

From start to finish, the boys showed incredible grit, coordination, and that "never-give-up" spirit we’re so proud of. Huge congrats to the team for completing the race and showing what Operation Breakthrough is all about! 💪🏽🔥
