The inaugural Colloids Cup Run has started for the 2024/2025 season🏆

Result: Colloids 2 - 1 Morse Park Rangers

Not the prettiest of wins but through to the next round none the less

Dick of The Day: Ronnie Boy. Probably our easiest one of the season as he forgot the team sheet (only job) and tried a back heel which resulted in their corner(walk before you can run) 🤡

Man Of the Match: Dan Martyn (Performance that was supposed to be at CM but ended up being CB most of the time)🏅

Goals: Juju and OG (could be one of our top scorers this season, OGs not JuJu) 🥅
Assists: Dan Martyn and Simple Jake
MOTM Mentions: JuJu and Roman

What did we learn today?

- Ronnie can down a beer quickly (most of it gets shaken out) and apparently his hidden talent is his ability to play poker….must be great at folding under pressure 🃏

Congratulations to Siku and Dan for making the Yau Yee League Select team for this weekend’s tournament, as well as Shaun for being part of the coaching set up.

Special mention to Pat McKee for being on the reserve list for the team too. We’re proud that the ‘Oids will be well represented and we wish them the best of luck!

The curtain came down on the 2023-24 season over the weekend. The Allied Colloids made their consecutive appearance in the cup final against newly crowned YYL Champions, Club Wanderers. Hoping to make amends from last year’s disappointing result against Club Albion, the boys battled in torrential conditions eventually coming up short, 3-1 at the final whistle. Congratulations to Wanderers for achieving the double and much applause to the Colloids boys for achieving a fine fourth place finish in the league.

A proud past weekend for a number of Colloids, firstly our very own Charlie Pryke was appointed coach for this years Yau Yee League Select where Shaun Tobin and Pat Wenko were part of his coaching staff. Congratulations to Siku and Pat McKee for making the final squad with the latter captaining the squad, as well as Marcello for making the Yau Yee League Masters Select team!

A tough day at the office for the Allied Colloids, as we had succumbed to a 6-0 loss to Club Albion in the main cup final this past Saturday.

Congratulations to the Albion who managed to do the league and cup double for the third year in a row.

Despite the result the boys have a lot to be proud of, as they had their best points and league finish in Colloids history.

The curtain came down on the 2022-23 season last weekend with a convincing 4-1 win over the German All Stars, with goals Julian, Ronan, Jordan and Tom Preston.

The ‘Oids needed French Kiss to do one over Spartans in order for us to finish third but in the end we achieved our best points talley in Colloids history of 39 and finishing fourth.

The cup dream lives on with a historical first trip to finals at HKFC this coming Saturday May 6th. The boys look to spoil Albion’s party of doing the double of winning the league and cup for the third year in a row. Kick-off scheduled for 4:30 PM, there will be a food and beverage tents available in the triangle behind the scoreboard. Come support and cheer on the boys “Up the ‘Oids!”
