2026 ISI 香港滑冰賽將於 11 月舉行！無論你係啱啱學溜冰，定係已經有參賽經驗，都可以按自己程度參加適合嘅項目，把握機會展現平日嘅練習成果，仲可以挑戰自我、累積經驗、建立自信。由備賽到完成比賽，一步步見證自己嘅進步。✨​

比賽設有多項個人、搭檔及團體項目，ISI 除咗鼓勵大家盡情發揮平日所學、展現實力之外，亦非常重視培養學員之間嘅默契同團隊精神。透過比賽，學員仲可以同其他參賽者互相交流，結識新朋友，一齊享受溜冰嘅樂趣。⛸️​

It's the time of year ⏰ － to showcase the result of your dedicated training! ​

ISI Skate Hong Kong 2026 will be held this November! Whether you are just starting to learn ice skating or already have competition experience, you can join events that match your level. It's a great opportunity to showcase the results of your training, challenge yourself, gain experience, and build confidence. From preparing for the competition to completing your performance, you'll be able to see your progress every step of the way. ✨​

The competition features a variety of individual, partner and team events. In addition to encouraging skaters to apply what they have learned and showcase their abilities, ISI also places great emphasis on building teamwork and team spirit among students. Through the competition, skaters can connect with fellow skaters, make new friends and enjoy the fun of skating together. ⛸️​

Skaters who are interested in joining are encouraged to check with their coaches for competition details and registration arrangements. Remember to become an ISIAsia member before registering for the competition. ​

【帶你認識冰上皇宮「Zamboni」！】​

有嚟過冰上皇宮溜冰嘅朋友，相信都見過 Zamboni（洗冰車）喺冰場上一圈又一圈咁行駛。佢會定期為冰面翻新，幫助維持良好冰面狀態，畀大家享受暢快嘅溜冰體驗。⛸️ ​

首先，車底嘅特製刮刀會削走表面受損嘅冰層，並將碎冰收集；之後再喺冰面均勻鋪上一層製冰用水，填補表面細小嘅凹凸位置。水重新凝固之後，冰面就會回復平滑狀態。🧊✨​​

不過，操作呢部機器又點止㩒掣咁簡單，工作人員需要因應冰面狀況調整刮刀深度同落水量，仲要靠經驗作出細微調整，確保冰面保持良好狀態。​

下次嚟冰上皇宮溜冰，遇到 Zamboni 正喺度洗冰，不妨留意多兩眼，睇下平滑冰面背後嘅工夫，順手為工作團隊送上一個 👍 啦！​

【Let's Meet the Cityplaza Ice Palace's Zamboni!】​

If you've visited Cityplaza Ice Palace, you've probably seen the Zamboni driving around the rink. This ice resurfacing machine refreshes the ice regularly, helping to maintain the condition of the ice surface and provide a smooth skating experience for everyone. ⛸️​

Using a specially designed blade beneath the machine, it carefully shaves away the worn top layer of ice while collecting the ice shavings. It then evenly spreads a layer of ice making water across the ice surface, helping to fill small uneven areas. Once the water freezes, the ice surface becomes smooth again. 🧊✨​

Operating the Zamboni is much more than simply pressing a few buttons. Our operators carefully adjust the blade depth and water flow according to the condition of the ice, making fine adjustments based on their experience to help maintain the condition of the ice surface.​

Next time you're skating at Cityplaza Ice Palace, if you spot the Zamboni resurfacing the rink, take a closer look at the work that goes into keeping the ice surface smooth—and don't forget to give our team a 👍!

🔓輕鬆解鎖冰之基本功​
1️⃣ 上冰前場外準備​
慢慢踏步向前；提起一隻腳向前踏步，再左右交替練習平衡​

扶穩場邊慢慢上冰；上到冰之後，可以扶住場邊原地踏步，慢慢感受下企喺冰面嘅感覺​
3️⃣ 放膽踏出第一步 ​

【Tips for New Skaters☝🏻 Start Your First Step on Ice with Coach Jay!】​

Rookies 🙋🏻‍♀️ can’t wait to hit the ice before classes start? Cityplaza Ice Palace is always ready for you 😆 Before you step on, check out this video! Skating coach Jay will guide you through the “3 Newbie Moves” — follow along to build your balance step by step and take your first glide with confidence 💪🏻​

🔓 Master the basics of ice skating​
1️⃣ Preparation outside the rink before stepping onto the ice​
Take small steps forward. Lift one foot and step ahead, alternating left and right to practise your balance​
2️⃣ Getting onto the ice safely​
Hold the railing and step onto the ice slowly. Once you’re on, stay by the barrier and march in place to get used to standing on the ice​
3️⃣ Take your first step with confidence​
When you can stand steadily, open your arms 🫲🏻🫱🏻 and gently spread your legs. Glide forward using the forward swizzle (open and close your feet). Repeat to build control — once you’ve got it, you’re ready to skate ⛸️💨​
