We all have a story. This is mine.

Kinda chic to have a fit dad who pushed me to hit the gym instead of learning to cook. He knew strength wasn’t just physical it was a mindset. And he made sure I had it.

Kinda chic to have been raised in an environment where my parents taught me to stand up tall and fight for what’s right. No shrinking. No settling. Just showing up and speaking up.

Kinda chic to fall for someone and choose to stick by them—through everything. Not because it was easy, but because love is a decision you make every single day.

Kinda chic to marry the love of my life, following my heart even when the path wasn’t the easiest.

Kinda chic to leave a secure 9-6 and build something that gives me genuine joy. Because life is too short to spend thinking what if...

Kinda chic to have bold goals and go after them, even as a mum. To show my kids what it looks like to go after something with everything you’ve got even when you’re figuring it out as you go.

Kinda chic to have the best physique in my entire family tree. Not because I was born with it, but because I chose to build it. Every single day.

And kinda chic to struggle—yet continue to work on my business, my family, my goals—without pretending I have it all figured out.

Because here’s the truth: no human in the world has everything figured out.

And that’s okay.

I don’t have all the answers.
I’m figuring things out as I go.
I stumble.
I learn.
I adjust.
And I keep showing up.

That, to me, is the real strength.

So if you’re reading this and feeling like you’re still figuring things out - welcome to the club. You’re in good company.

What’s one thing in your life that feels ‘kinda chic’ to you? Drop it in the comments—I’d love to celebrate together 🌸🙌🏻

20 years. That’s how long I’ve been showing up.

This photo is from 2017, but my journey started way back in 2006.

And honestly? The woman in that photo wouldn’t recognise the woman I am today. Not just in how I look, but in how I think, how I move through the world and what I believe is possible.

Here’s what two decades of training has taught me:

1. Your ‘why’ will shift. And that’s okay.
I started wanting to look a certain way. Then I wanted to feel strong. Then I wanted to perform. Then I wanted to show my daughter what’s possible. The reasons evolve. The habit of showing up? That stays.

2. Consistency beats intensity.
The person who shows up consistently for years will always outlast the one who goes all in for a few months and burns out. I’m living proof that small, consistent efforts compound into something extraordinary.

3. Your body changes. Your power doesn’t have to.
I’ve been through postpartum, bodybuilding preps, off-seasons, and everything in between. My body has looked different in every season. But my commitment to being strong inside and out has never wavered.

4. The real growth happens off the mat.
The gym taught me discipline. But the real lessons? Patience. Self-compassion. Trusting the process. Those are the things that have transformed my life, not just my physique.

5. You are never ‘done.’
There is no finish line. Every phase is a new chapter. The goal isn’t to arrive it’s to keep growing, keep learning, keep showing up.

So yes, I’ve been here longer than you might think. And I’m not going anywhere.

If you’re just starting out, or if you’re in the middle of a long journey, I want you to know: progress is possible, and it’s worth it.

Tell me - How long have you been on your journey?
What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned?

Drop it in the comments—I’d love to hear from you.🌸

It's been a minute since I shared my training log. Completely off the hook in here.😅

Week 51 - Week 10 (Yes, I'm counting!)
Last week in a recap⚡️

Training:
Currently pulling back and training 4 days a week, appropriate for my current life season. Quality over quantity, always.

Cardio & Steps:
· Approx 12.5k steps daily
· 105 minutes of weekly cardio

Nutrition:
Not tracking food at all right now, just sticking to my meal plan.
This shift has been so positive since July 2025. It completely changed the way I look at food and rebuilt my relationship with it, which was my biggest struggle post 2022 season. This is the real win. 🥹

Adjusting to a new training space and consistently hitting PRs. It'll take a bit to get a proper hang of the load, but I'm so grateful to have this space so close by. Been waiting for this for a while.

Last week felt a bit chaotic - kids' graduation, final days before summer holidays, lots of activities. I don't enjoy being away, but it's a choice I made and I'm learning to be okay with it.

Rest and recovery were super focused. Sleep was great since we changed the mattress. That's a game changer.

Coming Week:
Nailing the load and pushing through training to get the most out of each day as it comes. Let's go!

How was YOUR week?
Drop a win or a struggle below, I'd love to hear it!

Most women think stage-readiness is about the physique.
It’s not. The physique is the byproduct.

What actually determines whether you make it to that stage and whether you enjoy the process getting there is something most people skip straight past.

Swipe through for 5 directions & save this if you’re even thinking about competing one day. And if you’ve ever stepped on stage yourself tell me what you’d add to this list. I want to hear it.

📍 Built for the women who aren’t afraid to show up for themselves.

The scale told me nothing about who I was becoming.

Postpartum stripped away the need to chase a number.

Bodybuilding gave me something real to chase instead.

Not a look. Not a weight. Just... the woman I knew I could become.

Listen to the full 🎙️

And tell me what’s one thing you’re chasing right now that has nothing to do with the scale?

Hi. I am Shamiya. And I want to properly reintroduce myself.
This page started over free ice cream. Honestly. Then it became a travel diary. Then a fitness journal. Then a place to sell coaching.

Today I want it to be something more real than all of that.
You will see my unfiltered fitness journey here. Life. Parenting realities. Not just the highlight reel.

I started my fitness journey just wanting to be skinny. That was the whole goal. I did not know better yet.

I always loved school PT class, sports, moving my body. I dreamed of representing my country one day. Bodybuilding became the way I found to do exactly that.

In 2025 I represented India on the international natural bodybuilding stage as a mother with a goal to get India listed on the world list. And I will continue to try as my journey unfolds and I figure things out.

I left a comfortable 9 to 6 job because I could not stop thinking about every woman who was shrinking herself the way I once did.

After becoming a mum and working with so many women I understand now how much weight we carry every single day. Mentally. Emotionally. And how easily we give up on our own health because of it.

So this is what I want this page to be.
A space where it is okay if you have not figured everything out yet. Where you are allowed to take one step and then the next. Figure one puzzle at a time.

I will be honest with you. I will not sell you something that does not actually help you. That is my only promise.
I do not have all the answers yet. But I am committed to showing up as I find them.

Fitness is a basic human right. You are allowed to choose it for yourself, if and when it fits your life.

If this is what you need — welcome. I am glad we found each other.

💬 Tell me — what brought you to this page?.

The other side of coaching no one talks about.

Running an online fitness business isn’t just transformation photos and “booked out” announcements. You don’t see those doubts, you don’t see correct who ghosts. The week where nothing works.

Constant learning. And asking yourself hard questions like:
‘Am I actually helping anyone?’
‘In the AI era, what am I offering that a bot can’t?’

Here’s what I landed on:

A coach’s job isn to give you a plan. ChatGPT can do that.

I give you accountability when you are exhausted. I adjust when life gets messy. I stay when it’s hard.

A coach’s job is to simplify fitness into YOUR real life. To make it doable, not overwhelming. To change your life for good - not just take your money.

And to never forget that the person on the other side of the screen is a real human. With real struggles. Real highs. Real lows.

That’s who I coach. That’s who I show up for.

If you’ve ever felt like a coach cared more about the transaction than your actual life... you’re not alone.

👉🏻Have you ever felt like just a number to a coach?

Honest moment.

There are days I do not want to post. I do not want to show up on social media. I do not want to perform consistency for an algorithm.

Today is one of those days.

And I am posting anyway. Not because I have something perfectly crafted to say. But because I made a commitment to show up as myself, the real version not the highlight reel version.

In a world where everything online is curated, filtered and strategically timed I just want to be honest.

Some days I have it together. Some days I am running on whatever is left after everyone else has taken their share.

Today is the second kind of day.

But real is the only version of me I know how to be. And if that is what keeps even one woman from feeling alone in her own messy honest day, then showing up was worth it.

💬 Do you ever feel the pressure to only show up when you have something polished to say?
