JBC ヤクルトスワローズは2024年度チャレンジカップでチャンピオンになりました‼
昨年度チャンピオンのナインウェストを相手に、スワローズは2回裏の時点で2対6の4点差に開かれましたがチームは諦めずに最終的には、8対7の逆転勝利を収めました。
コーチは4回表の攻撃力ある相手を守りきったチームの守備力を褒めました。
この試合を投げ切った城戸ユウシ君は2つのヒットと2得点もあげ、チームを引っ張りました。青ジャック君は炎天下の中でのキャッチャーとして、又2塁打と2得点を獲得しました。ショートのウ－ ライアン君は1塁打を2回、2塁打、そして2得点を獲得。1塁のチェン トゥリン君は試合の勝敗の決定打となる2塁打を放ちました。3塁の中本元太郎君、2塁の水野湊太君は守備の要として、センターのタン ザッカリー君は出塁後に盗塁、外野のオレア トライアン君とビーバー甲斐君は出塁後に盗塁、そして4回裏の反撃時に共に得点をあげました。
この試合は完璧なシーズン最終日になりました。多くの保護者ボランティアの方々、特にチームマネジャーの藤川さん、城戸さん、コーチの青さん、中本さん、オレアさん、水野さん、そしてその他沢山の皆様、本当にありがとうございました。
そしてチーム内の年長何人かのメジャーリーグへ移る選手達はこのチームとお別れになります。
スワローズには既に来季も沢山の選手達が登録を済ませて、シーズンが始まるのを楽しみに待っています。

The JBC Yakult Swallows is the 2024 Challenge Cup Champion!
Playing against the last year champion Ninewest, the Swallows was down 2-6 at the bottom of the 2nd inning. The team didn’t give up, compete hard to secure a come from behind 8-7 win. The coach praised the defensive play, shutting down one of the best offensive team in the critical 4th inning. Lead by Yushi Kido who pitched a complete game and provided 2 hits and 2 runs, Jack Ao played catcher under the summer heat and contributed a double and 2 runs, SS Ryan Wu 2 single, a double, 2 runs, 1B Turin Cheung the crucial double to score the tying and winning runs, 3B Gentaro Nakamoto and 2B Sota Mizuno with key defensive plays, CF Zachary Tang drew walks and steal bases, LF Traian Olea and Kai Beaver drew walks and scored runs in the critical 4th inning which started the come back.
This is the perfect end to the season. Thanks to all volunteers including the team manager Fujikawa-san and Kido-san, coaches Ao-san, Nakamoto-san, Olea-san and Mizuno-san, and many others.
It is also time to say goodbye to some of the players who will move up to the Major League. The Swallows will have a bright future with the many younger players returning next season to take up more responsibilities.
