The first race day of 2026 was the Stanley warm up races. For the many of the team this was their first ever race and a great way to get used to racing before the main festival day. We came 1st 🥇then 2nd 🥈 and then 1st again 🥇- we had the 4th fastest time of the ~70 mixed teams that competed. Not bad, more speed and power to find in the next 3 weeks.

Coaches note about Sunday’s race:

This season we made a lot of changes to the team (new home, new ethos) and we have a mix of people - some of them are in the HK team, many are brand new to the sport.

The way the team went out and PERFORMED for themselves and each other this weekend in their first ever race as a team was genuinely inspirational - nobody left anything on the table - not 1%. On to to bigger and better things we go ❤️
