“Embrace the Journey, Honor the Race”

In 2018, during the 70km Ultra-Trail Koh Chang (UTKC) in Thailand, I set out with a clear goal: to win. Despite my best efforts, I lost my way in the dark, covering over 8km back and forth in the jungle, which cost me over an hour.

I faced the challenge with fair play, integrity, and sheer grit. My determination never wavered, even in the midst of the detours. In the end, I crossed the finish line in 3rd place, just 15 minutes behind the champion.

This experience taught me that a winning mentality is about more than just the podium. It’s about how you navigate the journey, stay true to your values, and overcome adversity. Every obstacle faced is a testament to your resilience and spirit.

To all trail runners and athletes: embrace every challenge, hold fast to your principles, and let your grit and determination guide you. True victory lies in the journey and the heart you bring to the race.
