I remember three years ago, when Chun Hei first approached me and asked me if I wanted to be a part of the student council. I can still remember all the emotions that I felt. I thought to myself how could a re****ed little year nine kid keep up with all these responsibilities. If I were to be a part of the student council, I would have to be a role model. People would look up at me, they would have expectations. Though I soon realized that first, I had to be elected, and to be approved by my fellow students before I would even be given the chance to serve the student body. And for two consecutive years, I had your support and approval, and for that I am truly grateful.
It was a rollercoaster ride, there were ups and downs, and there were times when I just want to quit. But at the end of the day, I knew I could not forsake the approval of you and my fellow teammates. There were obstacles and forces that tried to prevent us from doing what we set out, but at the end, not only did I learn something, I also have no regrets. And that's what school is all about, experimenting, willing yourself and never giving up. I urge the fellow students to do the same, to not be afraid of taking chances, to take a leap of faith.
And finally, I would like to congratulate Ardicity - VSA Student Council Cabinet 2015-2016 for winning the approval of the students. It is a difficult thing but you guys did it. From your debate we can foresee your commitment to the student body; from your year plan we can expect original projects and fun parties; and from your genuine smiles we can sense the strong chemistry that interconnects everyone of you on the team. We strongly believe that what lays in front of us will be an exciting year. I know you guys will continue to thrive and succeed. I wish you all the best in the future.
