Richard Bell came to Guatemala from Cape Town to celebrate his 30th wedding anniversary with his wife, Antoinette. 🇿🇦🇬🇹
After fishing all over the world for the last 35 years, one dream still remained: the Pacific.
It all started years ago when Richard was invited on a tuna trip out of Cape Town. Fifteen minutes after setting the spread, two reels screamed off. By the end of that day he had landed his very first yellowfin tuna — a 45kg fish — and a lifelong passion was born.
Now, decades later, he finally arrived in Guatemala aboard Decisive.
“Where else can you raise and land so many billfish in such a short time?”
Richard described the professionalism and precision of the Decisive crew as something truly special, while Antoinette was looked after by our incredible land team led by Beto and the ladies — right down to a surprise celebratory anniversary dinner.
Fishing, Antigua Guatemala, volcanoes, Mayan ruins, Central America… what a way to celebrate 30 years together.
And the best part?
Richard says this definitely won’t be his last trip to Guatemala. 🎣✨
