The Swiss ball ! Despite its name, the ball was actually invented in Italy in 1963 by plastics manufacturer Aquilino Cosani. It was originally called the “Pezzi ball” and used in pediatric physical therapy before European and American therapists popularized it for functional movement and sports medicine.
