Faistos summer fencing camp

Dear friends & fencers,

It is with great sadness that we announce that ''Faistos Summer Fencing Camp'', scheduled to take place on June 22, until June 2, has been postponed due to a host of factors resulting from the Covid-19 Global Pandemic.
We tried very hard to make this work, as we’re very aware of the need for a such a summer sport event, but the circumstances won't allow it to happen.
We are not sad about this cancellation, because health & safety is always priority #1.
So, I hope you stay safe and ready to accomplish our meeting next year!
Our sincerest apologies, and our greatest thanks to you.

Αγαπητά μέλη και φίλοι της Αθλητικής Λέσχης Ξιφασκίας Μεσαράς,

Έχοντας σταθμίσει με μεγάλη προσοχή τα δεδομένα που έχουμε στη διάθεσή μας σχετικά με την εξέλιξη της επιδημίας που βιώνει ολόκληρος ο πλανήτης , με λύπη μας ανακοινώνουμε την αναβολή της διοργάνωση Faistos Summer fencing Camp που θα λάμβανε χώρα στις 22 εως 28 Ιουνίου.
Η απόφαση αυτή, υπακούει και προσαρμόζεται λαμβάνοντας υπόψιν της τις τελευταίες ανακοινώσεις του Παγκόσμιου Οργανισμού Υγείας, και των αρμόδιων Ελληνικών Αρχών, σχετικά με την εκτίμηση εξάπλωσης του ιού (COVID-19) με γνώμονα πάντα την υπεράσπιση της δημόσιας υγείας και ολόκληρου του πληθυσμού.
Η ασφάλεια των αθλητών, των συνεργατών και υποστηρικτών, καθώς και των ξένων προσκεκλημένων, αποτελούν αναμφίβολα προτεραιότητα για εμάς.
Η ομάδα του Faistos Camp θα ήθελε να ευχαριστήσει θερμά όλους τους συμμετέχοντες αθλητές, τους φίλους και συνεργάτες μας, τους εθελοντές και υποστηρικτές που συμμετείχαν στην προετοιμασία αυτής της μεγάλης διοργάνωσης και που συνεχίζουν να στηρίζουν το όραμα μας, δείχνοντάς εμπιστοσύνη και αγάπη όλα αυτά τα χρόνια.
Το Faistos Summer fencing Camp ανανεώνει το ραντεβού του για του χρόνου και υπόσχεται ότι όλα όσα μας ενέπνευσαν κατά τη διάρκεια της χρονιάς, οι νέες ιδέες, η διάθεσή μας να εξελίσσουμε το έργο μας και να παρουσιάζουμε κάθε χρόνο την καλύτερή εκδοχή του, θα συνεχίζουν να μας εμπνέουν. Δεσμευόμαστε πως θα δουλέψουμε με την ίδια –αν όχι περισσότερη – όρεξη για να προετοιμάσουμε ακόμα καλύτερα την διοργάνωση που όλοι με ενθουσιασμό περιμέναμε!

Μέχρι τότε εσείς, οι οικογένειες και οι φίλοι σας, να είστε ασφαλείς, προστατευμένοι και αισιόδοξοι και ευχόμαστε ότι πολύ σύντομα θα περάσει η μεγάλη περιπέτεια που βιώνουμε.

ALM Messaras welcomes you to the 1st Faistos Fencing Camp, where you will be able to enjoy fencing at the wonderful areas of South Crete!⛱🌞🇬🇷
Faistos Fencing Camp is designed for fencers of all levels – beginners, intermediate and elite- 13 years old or older, for all the 3 weapons (epee, foil, sabre).🤺🤺
For the first 5 days, the participants will have the chance to enjoy their mornings through various activities, like Shooting, Archery, Beach Volley, Hiking & Climbing, Yoga and Boat Trip. Moreover, they will be able to attend a First Aid Seminar. All the activities, will be under the authority of Professionals, a fact that guarantees safety.
The well experienced coaches Foustanakis Dimitris & Xagoraraki Fani will have their time during the evenings! Full fencing training, under a safe environment and the proper facilities, in the ‘Municipal Swimming Pool’ at Moires.
More coaches from different countries are going to contribute to the whole procedure (more info to be announced!).
The classes will be accessible for athletes who speak the Greek or the English language.
The last 2 days, will be for The 10th Faistos Cup!
The detailed information about the categories that will take part will be announced in the next 2 months.

About the accommodation of the athletes, “Studios Paradise – Holidays In South Crete” is able to offer a unique experience to all the participants of the camp!
More information about the Camp and the Cup, are going to be announced, in the following days!

The 1st Faistos Summer Fencing camp is welcoming you to Crete!
From 22 until 28 of June Messara Fencing Club will organize a week full of sports activities , entertainment and of course fencing!!
Every morning you will have the opportunity to test a big variety of activities that offer you the chance to try different sports.🏐🏹🧘‍♀️🧗‍♀️ 🤺 🏊‍♀️
During the evening, at the local facilities of ''Municipal Swimming pool stadium'' fencing training and games will take place under the supervision of different, well experienced coaches.
The last 2 days, the 10th Faistos Cup will be the highlight of the camp!

Το 1ο Faistos Summer Fencing Camp σας καλωσορίζει στην Κρήτη!
Από 22 έως 28 Ιουνίου, η Αθλητική Λέσχη Μεσσαράς οργανώνει μια εβδομάδα γεμάτη αθλητικές δραστηριότητες, πολύ διασκέδαση και φυσικά Ξιφασκία!!!

Κάθε πρωί, οι συμμετέχοντες θα έχουν την ευκαιρία να δοκιμάσουν και να αποκτήσουν την εμπειρία ανάμεσα σε διαφορετικές αθλητικές δραστηριότητες. 🏐🏹🧘‍♀️🧗‍♀️ 🤺 🏊‍♀️
