Tolkien did something brilliant in Lord of The Rings.

Spoiler alert:

Frodo carries the ring to Mordor, but he cannot throw it to the Cracks of Doom.

Last minute he cannot separate himself from the ring.

Self-discipline does not work. Willpower does not work.

Strong values and integrity are not incorruptible to the power of the ring.

The resolution of the drama does not happen from our hero.

Frodo cannot complete the mission.

The resolution happens from the antihero: The Golum.

The Golum falls to the Cracks of Doom with the ring.

It was Frodo’s compassion not to kill the Golum during his journey that saved the day.

Tolkien knew human nature. He knew that will power is limited.

And it is often compassion and accepting the darkest parts of ourselves or others that allows us to complete the mission.

Here’s the thing about desire:

It’s often easier to get what you want than to stop wanting it.

So by all means.

Win the game of money, make butloads of them, if that’s the game you want to play.

Win the status game. Become known.

Win the game of relationships. Make friends and influence people.

But don’t be a fool, running in a rat race chasing a carrot always dangling a few steps ahead.

At some point decide to rid yourself of the game.

Play a different game.

Or discover peace.

Not everyone needs to transcend their ego right now.

For years I’ve taught the opposite.

My TEDx on letting go of ego-driven goals has nearly half a million views.

Our ego is always dissatisfied and blocks us from experiencing fulfilment and unity with life in the present moment.

But, during my final meditation of my 3-day NYNF experience this weekend, a nuance became clear to me.

You need to build a strong ego before you transcend it.

For most of my clients my TEDx advice is correct.

I often attract to my work leaders who are ambitious, high-achievers, competitive and driven.

Their ego locks them in a perpetual feeling of “I should be further along” that is slowly eating away their happiness.

But for a few people in my group, the right advice is not to transcend their ego but the opposite.

They need to finally set strong boundaries around themselves, and let others know what is OK and not OK.

They need to develop a strong spine that does not always bend to others’ expectations.

They need to fill their cup and give from overflow rather than offer their last drops.

These people do not need to transcend their ego right now. They need to strengthen it.

If you have never built a strong enough ego you become a doormat.

What came through in my meditation:

For some of my clients, the priority is boundaries and protecting their needs.

Strengthen their ego.

For others, it’s releasing their programmed preferences and ideas of how things should be.

Putting down their masks, labels and stories about themselves so they can fully experience reality.

Transcend their ego.

Some people need more power and agency.

Others need to finally put down their weapons and soften to the flow of life.

My clients often cry in my presence.

It is not because of my coaching, though it is often tough-love.

It is because my nervous system is comfortable around tears and sadness.

I do not feel threatened.

I do not need to make it stop, point out the bright side or offer a solution.

I hold the space for my client to finally process and release what they have been carrying.

I trust their process and I am happy it is unfolding.

I do not pity them. I know that the strongest people cry, the weak ones deny and supress.

They cry in my presence because they feel safe.

They know I can hold their sadness without absorbing it, denying it or jumping to fix it.

And through the tears, they liberate and feel lighter.

The connection of their amygdala and prefrontal cortex becomes stronger.

They integrate their experience rather than fragmenting from it

And they can finally access their inner wisdom.

There is one thing that has leapfrogged my growth more than anything else.

It wasn’t books, videos, or podcasts.

It wasn’t even meditation in solitude or journaling.

It was live, in-person experiences. Workshops, seminars and retreats.

I have been in the same room with business and coaching legends like Tony Robbins, Michael Neill, Daniel Priestley, Dan Sullivan, Erik de Haan, James Wedmore and more.

I spent months in the rooms of century-old institutions like INSEAD and Hult Ashridge Executive Education.

I have also been in the same room with shamans, yogis, and mystics.

Every time, I was a different person going in and coming out.

- The leaving your routine for a few days. Leaving behind the urgent for the important.

- The collective effervescence (something that has proved to cause awe, a secret to fulfilment)

- Your focus of your attention to growth and insights

- The tuning of your energy to something bigger than yourself.

Some part of my ego always sheds and it is uncomfortable. An old way of thinking melts away.

My life-force in the form of energy, inspiration or peace flows stronger.

I come back different than who I was going in.

I don’t always get I want from these events. But I always get what I need.

It is not easy.

Events are expensive, travel requires effort, and taking time away from our family and work is difficult.

In two days, I begin my 3-day, in person experience, New Year, New Frontier.

To the 14 people who will be joining me to move, release, connect and create, thank you.

Thank you for taking the leap and for trusting me to guide you in this journey.

I can’t wait to be in the room with you!

Let’s make this magical.

The word of 2025 according to top dictionaries.

They surprised me:

Oxford: rage bait.

Making people angry on purpose so you can capture their mindspace and attention so you can make more money.

Dictionary.com: 67.

A nonsensical, meaningless, absurd phrase that went viral.

Maybe reflecting the absurdity and meaninglessness of most people’s experience of life.

Oxford: parasocial

A one-sided relationship where one person invests significant emotional energy, time, and interest in a “persona” (like a celebrity, YouTuber, or fictional character) who is completely unaware of their existence.

I am afraid many people are starting to develop a parasocial relationship with AI as it the only entity in their life that understands them and roots for them 24/7.

Collins: vibe coding

Write code by using natural language to an AI

Marriam Webster: slop

This year this word was used to represent low-quality, mass-produced content generated by artificial intelligence.

So, we had a year where we clicked on rage-bait headlines to consume slop or nonsensical content, developed one-sided parasocial relationships, often replacing real intimacy with other humans.

Or, our year was a lot better and our negativity bias makes us focus on the alarming and unpleasant.

I hated the books my bookclub chose.

I read them anyway.

I loved the discussion about them in the book club meeting.

It helped me see things I had not noticed. Extract learnings and deeper meanings. Capture the beauty.

Now imagine 2025 is a book you read for your bookclub.

You might have enjoyed it or hated it.

It doesn’t matter.

Now it is time to discuss it with your book club. And then let it go.

Maybe your “year” book club is you journaling with yourself.

Maybe it is talking to your best friend about it.

Or you may want to join us in Athens on 8-10 January for New Year, New Frontier where I will guide you through the whole process.

Last page of the book is tomorrow.

Then, choose a new one to read.

21/12/2025

After all the decluttering, what remains?

You. Just you. And that's enough.

Today, just clear all the thoughts and stories.

I’m asking you to live in the present moment without beliefs or narrative.

If you’ve been following the challenge, then you’ve already worked on replacing limiting beliefs with empowering ones. That’s important work. But today, we go deeper.

The ultimate freedom isn’t better thoughts. It’s the space between thoughts. The pure presence before the story takes over.

New Practice: "I can exist without thought, fully present in this moment."

Your task:
- Sit in silence for 10-20 minutes
- Don't try to stop your thoughts, just notice them without following them
- When a thought arises, label it: "thinking," then return to your breath
- Notice the silence between thoughts
- Feel what it's like to exist without story, without past, without future
- Just be here, now, aware

This is the practice. Not achieving a perfect mind. Just returning to presence, again and again.

Notice what's here when you're not building a story about it.

And if this practice feels like a doorway opening… it is.

Because once the noise quiets and the stories dissolve, the next question becomes:

What would life look like if you lived from that clarity more often?

That’s where the transition begins.

New Year, New Frontier (Athens, January 8-10) is where we do that deeper work together.
We release the year that's ending, with all its wins, disappointments, grief, and unprocessed emotions. We let go of the masks, the "shoulds," the unhelpful patterns.

We clear the blocks you didn't even know were there.

Then we design your year. From clarity and alignment, rather than chaos and ego.

Walk ancient paths. Get coached in person. Practice yoga and sound healing. Sit in a circle with people who understand this journey.

TODAY IS THE LAST DAY FOR EARLY BIRD PRICING.

Enroll by the end of day and save €500. Tomorrow it goes to €1997.

The challenge taught you how to let go of things. Athens is where you go deeper into the transformation.

What's the cost of keeping everyone out?

Protecting yourself from pain also protects you from connection.

🧠 Day 20 of the Declutter Your Life Challenge

Let Go Of: "Letting people close will hurt me"

Past hurt can create walls that keep everyone out, including people who could provide us with so much joy and connection.

Protecting yourself from potential pain also protects you from love, connection, and intimacy. Vulnerability is risky, but isolation is guaranteed suffering.

New Belief: "The more open I am to real connection, the more fulfilling my life becomes."

Reflection:
- What's the cost of having walls around your heart? What connections, love, or support are you missing?
- Can you think of someone who proved trustworthy despite your fears?
- Who would you be if you could stay protected where needed but open where it's safe?

Journal on these questions. Not everyone deserves access to you. But closing off completely doesn't protect you. It isolates you.

Want to go deeper?

One more day of the challenge. But here's the truth: we've only scratched the surface.

The daily decluttering we've done is powerful. But there's deeper clearing that requires space, support, and skilled guidance.

New Year, New Frontier (Athens, January 8-10) is where we do the emotional clearing you can't do alone.

The masks you wear. The patterns you repeat. The grief you haven't processed. The dreams you've been afraid to claim.

This work is better done with a coach to guide you and a community to hold you.
Only then can you design a year that's truly aligned.

Three days in Athens. In-person coaching. Hot seat work on your actual blocks. Ancient inspiration. Yin yoga. Handpan sound healing. A circle of people brave enough to go deep with you.

Tomorrow is the last day for early bird pricing. Save €500 by enrolling before December 21st.

Some clearing needs witnesses. I invite you to Athens.

The emotions you're avoiding? They're not gone. They're stuck.

🧠 Day 19 of the Declutter Your Life Challenge

Let Go Of: "Don't feel"

Many of us learned to suppress emotions to stay functional, professional, or "strong."

But unfelt emotions don't disappear. They get stored in your body and leak out as anxiety, tension, or reactivity. Feeling your emotions is how you process and release them.

This is an art though. Feeling your emotions does not mean feeding them with story or rumination. It means feeling the sensations in your body.

Also, uncomfortable emotions are often a signal that you are using your thinking wrong—that you're believing a lie. The solution here is not to suppress the emotion, but use it as a messenger to change your erroneous thinking.

New Belief: "I am safe to feel what emotions are in my body right now and I use my feelings as a guide on whether I am using my thinking in the best way."

Reflection:
- What emotions do you typically suppress or avoid? Anger? Sadness? Fear? Joy?
- Where did you learn that certain feelings weren't acceptable?
- Can you think of a time when you finally allowed yourself to feel something and it brought relief?
- Who would you be if you could feel your emotions without judgment and let them move through you?

Journal on these questions. Emotions are energy in motion. When you stop them, they get stuck.

Want to go deeper?

Two more days of clearing. Then it's time to rebuild.

New Year, New Frontier (Athens, January 8-10) is where you transform all this decluttering into a powerful, aligned action plan for 2025.

What makes it transformational?
✨ In-person coaching - I coach you on your actual challenges, not generic advice

✨ Proven methodology - My aligned action plan process across all four life areas

This is not a webinar. This is not surface-level goal-setting you'll forget by February.

When was the last time you did something just for fun?

Not because it was productive, healthy, or self-improving, just because it brought you joy.

🧠 Day 18 of the Declutter Your Life Challenge

Let Go Of: "Don't be playful / Be serious"

Many of us learned that being serious, productive, and responsible is how to be valuable.

Play feels frivolous or childish.

But play is essential for creativity, connection, and joy. Seriousness without playfulness leads to burnout and rigidity.

New Belief: "Play and joy are essential parts of a full life."

Reflection:
- When did you stop playing? When did life become only about work and responsibility?
- What activities make you lose track of time and feel genuinely joyful?
- Do you judge yourself or others for being "silly" or "unproductive"?
- Who would you be if you gave yourself permission to play, create, and have fun without justifying it?

Journal on these questions. Play isn't a luxury. It's how humans recharge, connect, and create.

Want to go deeper?

Three more days of decluttering. Then what?

Join us in Athens for New Year, New Frontier.

Here's what one participant said: "The best investment of my time and money lately. I'm feeling full of excitement and energy for the year ahead."

This isn't passive learning. It's hot seat coaching where I work on your actual situation. It's walking ancient paths beneath the Acropolis. It's yin yoga, handpan sound healing, and Greek meze by the fireplace.

It's three days that change how you approach your entire year.

Early bird ends December 21st. Save €500 if you enroll now. Sign up here: theleaderpath.com/frontier
