The year 2026 began with the completion of a Revell/Monogram kit in 1/32 scale, dating back to 1997, with a small number of parts and generally good fit.
The kit did not include a cockpit, only a closed canopy. Wanting to give this Viper a distinctive character, a lizard camouflage scheme was chosen, while the fighter has taken hits over almost its entire airframe, yet remains combat-capable.
With the addition of a rotating magnet, a 20mm M61A1 cannon from spare sprues was also installed, intended for atmospheric strike missions… pure modeling imagination with no limits!
In my collection I own several kits from the Battlestar Galactica series. Some of them are intended to be screen-accurate, while with all the others I experiment with different types, versions, and paint schemes. These kits are always a pleasure to build and they consistently take me back to the past.
