A new route on our website. :-) Just for early spring if somebody wants to run (or walk) in easy terrain with quite good temperature. Olympus Round: 124 km and 3300 m up. With beautiful views and abandon villages. And with a bit of snow :-)

Kopsi Profitis Ilias which we made some weeks ago together with Mig is still fresh in our minds. Not surprise as this is truly impressive pass, almost unknown and rarely used. So Mig decided to write more technical description for those who want to repeat the route and are looking some practical information. We published the article on my Runnin' Greece website as an example of another type of experiencing Greece.

Description of the new route on our website. This time the one and only Kopsi Profitis Ilias. One of the most famous and most unknown "kopsi" on Olympus. Take a rope and some gear and go there. But only if you are quite experience mountaineer.

We leave beautiful Mount Olympus from time to time :D For example, to explore the Peloponnese by bike. Here is a short story about this journey. Description of the new path appeared on our website. This time it is a beautiful transition from Litochoro through Trochalo, Skandaliara, Kosti Rachi and Rachi Achrani to the top of Kalogeros. Together with the way back to Litochoro via Livadaki it is almost 40 km of a beautiful trip. Perfect for every season of the year :-)

I would like to inform you that thanks to Michalis work, all path from link below is now clear, painted in white and black markings and easy accesible. So now all Litochorians and tourist have nice possibility to run (or walk) a loop from Lakkos to Stavros Rf. and back to Lakkos. Have fun :-)

We have a new path to Stavros refuge :-) This time not only on our website but also in reality. From now on you can go to Stavros and back to Litochoro on the loop. With some advices from our website... Enjoy the mountain :-)

A new forgotten path has appeared on our website. Old trail from the church of Saint Apostles to Gkolna Kiosk. To get to it, by the church, you should turn slightly right (not left, as on the well-known path). You can also use the gpx track below, turn right when following the Olympus Mythical Trail, which leads over Litochoro.
This forgotten path leads very close to the Enipeas Gorge, for a moment even the very edge (be careful), it is mostly quite clear, on the trees are also visible old signs (red) so it's hard to get lost. The whole route is shorter than a classic road, and therefore steeper, so it is more like for an uphill, but together with the classical way, they form an excellent loop, perfect for afternoon training. And hardly anyone goes there, so it's perfect for modern times ;-)
