Footvolley Athens

Vice Champions at the Kos Footvolley Open.🥈

Grateful to share the court with incredible athletes and friends from all over the world. Even more grateful to be back competing after my wrist injury.

Proud to stand alongside Pedrinho Mágico 🎩 and deliver a top level performance where we left everything on the court.

Now it’s time to get back to wrist recovery throughout August, with my eyes set on Footvolley League of Champions Valencia 500 by Futevolei Valencia in September.

A huge thank you to Theologos Tsiftsidis and his family, the newborn club of Footvolley Kos, and everyone on the island who competed, supported, and welcomed us with such amazing hospitality.

And a special thank you to the entire team at Physiomanual Center. Michalis, Vasia, Krinio, Myrto, Vicky gave everything to help me get back on court in time for this tournament, and I couldn’t be more grateful.

Páme! 💪🇬🇷

Eight weeks later!⏳

This injury (perilunate dislocation) reminded me that progress is rarely a straight line. Sometimes the path forward is not about pushing harder, but about slowing down, adapting, and appreciating the environment around you. A much-needed reminder in a life that often accelerates at full speed.

Grateful for my teammate, Pedrinho Mágico, my friends in and out of the footvolley community who keep me sane, my team at Hertha BSC, and especially the team of Physiomanual for guiding me through every stage of recovery.

There is still work to do, but the goal is clear: a return to competition at the International Open on July 25–26. I’m also looking forward to welcoming good friends from the international footvolley community and sharing the experience with the passionate young players who are building something special on the island.

Feels good to lock-in the process sometimes! 🔐

Staying in Motion

Looking back, I realize that a big part of my athletic journey in midlife has also been a personal one — a process of understanding who I was and who I wanted to become.

The only way I managed to do that was by creating space. Space from noise, habits, expectations. For me, sports and training became a form of /active meditation/. Movement wasn’t an escape — it was healing. It brought clarity. Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about the idea that maybe we’re “living /too much/ inside our head.” That consciousness is not something hidden behind our eyes. We learn by living: by competing, by training, by being on a long bike ride, by facing real challenges in sport and in life.

The future today often feels heavy — full of fear, worry, stress. Stress is everywhere. But stress can be reframed: not as a threat, but as an opportunity to grow, to overcome, to become more capable of handling what comes next. Being “in motion” doesn’t always mean intensity. It means knowing when to break inertia. Because movement creates awareness — and awareness creates growth.

Back to Europe, but connected forever to Curitiba through its people.

Grateful for the people, the environment, and every moment shared with the crew and technical staff at that made these months in Curitiba feel like home.

From now on, there are a couple of Paranistas in Greece too… and soon, maybe more. 🔴🔵
