Weird dads eh……🥴🙄🫣

3rd sole on these maestro’s for Pascal. Experimental higher cut which we hope will work well on a stiff shoe like this.

It’s lockdown discount time as things are so quiet here now. From today till the climbing walls reopen (whenever that may be) resoles will be £40 and resoles with rand repair are £55.

Fresh Vibram XS Grip for the first resole on my latest Shamens. Not quite as a sticky as the original Trax, but should last a little longer.

These shoes tend to get fairly negative reviews - citing lack of sensitivity as the main issue. That’s absolutely true.....until they’re broken in!!

Breaking these in takes 4 or maybe 5 days climbing in my experience, and then wow, super sticky and extremely comfortable. I can only imagine that reviewers didn’t give them time to break in and soften up a bit before dismissing them.

They are amazing on the glassy and polished nubbins limestone offers, especially on the more popular routes, and as a bonus, they are without doubt the most comfy shoes I’ve climbed in. Not as well made or as long lived as Scarpas, but they will last as long as almost any Sportiva model bar the indestructible Muira VS and the very well built Solution.

Price is good too 🙂.

Hobbies are great 🙂
Doing shoes for friends over the winter period, and having time to let the shoe rest between each stage of the process, leads to a better result. Steve’s Muira’s ready for more delicate footwork!!
