Autumn is almost full 🍂
Our autumn retreats are now almost completely booked, which we're incredibly happy about.❤️🌿

Pelion, Zagorochoria and Dikastika are all full, leaving just 2 spots on our October Crete Hiking & Yoga Retreat.

Seven days of hiking, yoga, beautiful beaches, Cretan villages, long lunches, local food and plenty of time to slow down and enjoy it all.

If you've been thinking about joining us this autumn, there are just two places left.

Things we fully support this summer 🇬🇷

Swimming before breakfast. 🌊

Long lunches that accidentally become dinner.

Naps without guilt.

Stealing as many figs as possible from the neighbours tree.

Eating tomatoes over the sink. 🍅

Walking everywhere.

Staying for “one more drink”.

Changing your plans because sunset on the beach is too good.

Going to bed early because you actually walked 12km.

Putting your phone away and remembering that nobody actually needs to know what you're doing.

Things we do not support:
Checking emails from the beach.

Very much the Nefeli Nine approach to summer: move a little, eat well, swim often, and leave some space for absolutely nothing.

Lunch the Greek way ❤️🌿

🥗 a Greek salad,
🍉 a slice of watermelon,
🍑 a beach peach,
🧀 a chunk of feta,
🥣 a really good chickpea dish,
🍞 too much bread,
🫒 and olive oil on absolutely everything.

No complicated recipes. No oven. No stress.

This week I made the most delicious chickpea dish (photo 3) from Despina Siahuli (it's already gone into my "make again immediately" folder), and it inspired me to put together a couple of my own favourite no-cook summer salads too. Think ribbon courgettes with lemon and herbs, and watermelon with feta, mint and basil. The kind of food that tastes like a Greek summer.

Whether it's a long lunch at a little seaside taverna or throwing together whatever's fresh from the market at home, I really think this is when Greek food is at its best. Simple ingredients, eaten slowly, preferably with good company and absolutely no plans afterwards.
