Under the supervision of the Ministry of Culture. Artistic Director: Linda Kapetanea

Koula Pratsika is the founder of the first Professional School of Orchessis in Greece, in 1937. In 1973, the great teacher and innovative artist retired and conferred the School to the Hellenic State. Thus begins the State School of Dance, whose founder would be very proud today, as most of the professional dancers today in Greece come have studied in the School. Aiming to constantly renew its activities, the State School of Dance has been an exemplary educational institute and a center for the arts, bearing international status and credibility. Due to the School’s profile, the students are always up to date with the current trends while they also have the ability to work with significant creators from around the world, either inside the classroom or on stage. Having a curriculum that is constantly being renewed, a student exchange program in cooperation with foreign dance schools, the Open Studio institution as well as professional performances for the public by the Hellenic Dane Company, the National School of Dance is building the future of Greek dance, today.

Τον περασμένο Ιούνιο, η ΚΣΟΤ γιόρτασε την ολοκλήρωση του σπουδαστικού έτους 2025-2026 με το "Moving Collectively - Ο κοινός μας ρυθμός", στο Δημοτικό Θέατρο Πειραιά / Municipal Theatre of Piraeus.

Last June, the National School of Dance celebrated the completion of the 2025-2026 season with "Moving Collectively - Our Shared Rhythm" at the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus.

KSOT Throwback: Sonoma Excerpts

👉 Ως μέρος της παράστασης ONE BODY, η Κρατική Σχολή Ορχηστικής Τέχνης είχε τη χαρά να παρουσιάσει και αποσπάσματα από το έργο Sonoma, του Marcos Morau και των La Veronal, ερμηνευμένα από τριτοετείς σπουδαστές και σπουδάστριες.

👉 Το ONE BODY έκανε την πρεμιέρα του στο ιστορικό Κτίριο Τσίλερ του Εθνικό Θέατρο / National Theatre of Greece και αργότερα παρουσιάστηκε στο Φεστιβάλ Κασσάνδρας της Χαλκιδικής, αλλά και στο Kalamata International Dance Festival

👉 Στοχεύοντας στην ανάδειξη όχι μόνο των χορευτών-ριών αλλά και των χορογράφων του αύριο, η Κρατική Σχολή Ορχηστικής Τέχνης οργάνωσε και φέτος το πρόγραμμα Young Choreographers, παρουσιάζοντας τα εξής πρωτότυπα έργα τριτοετών σπουδαστών-ριών:

Aiming to shape not only the dancers but also the choreographers of tomorrow, KSOT organized the "Young Choreographers" program for a fifth consecutive year, featuring the following original works by its 3rd-year students:

"Ακόμη πιο έντονη ήταν η παρουσία των αποφοίτων της ΚΣΟΤ την επόμενη ημέρα, το βράδυ της Κυριακής. Με αποσπάσματα από το Burning Water του Andonis Foniadakis Choreography και το Sonoma του Marcos Morau, οι νεαροί χορευτές ανταποκρίθηκαν σε έργα μεγάλης σωματικής και ερμηνευτικής απαίτησης με δύναμη, ακρίβεια και αξιοσημείωτη ωριμότητα. Δεν έμοιαζαν με νέους που απλώς δοκιμάζονται. Έμοιαζαν με καλλιτέχνες έτοιμους να διεκδικήσουν τη θέση τους στη σκηνή."
