Gaitanakis Leon Sport Management Leon Gaitanakis got his Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from the National Academy of Sport ‘Vasil Levski’, Sofia- Bulgaria in 1998.

In 2013 he got his Master of Sport Administration (MSc) from University of Peloponnese, Sparta-Greece. In 2014 he is Ph.D. Student in Sport and Tourism Management, especially in politics of sports tourism, from the University of the Peloponnese. He has a 12 years working experience in various coaching, teaching, lecturing and managerial positions in the sport industry. He has been working as a coa

ch of volleyball at the many teams, as a teacher of Physical Education at Sport School’s in secondary Education and as a lab assistant in higher education. Today work as part time in sport events and projects. He has published many refereed articles in several international journals and conference’s. Biography

Είναι υποψήφιος διδάκτωρ στην Σχολή Επιστημών Ανθρώπινης Κίνησης και Ποιότητας Ζωής του Πανεπιστήμιου Πελοποννήσου, με θέμα διδακτορικής διατριβής "Χάραξη πολιτικής στην ανάπτυξη εναλλακτικών μορφών τουρισμού με έμφαση στον αθλητικό τουρισμό". Σπούδασε Γυμναστική Ακαδημία στην Βουλγαρία, ενώ είναι κάτοχος μεταπτυχιακού τίτλου στην Οργάνωση και Διοίκηση Αθλητικών Οργανισμών και Επιχειρήσεων από το Πανεπιστήμιο Πελοποννήσου, με ειδίκευση στην Διοίκηση.


Έχει εργαστεί στον Δημόσιο τομέα (Β/θμια & Γ/θμια Εκπαίδευση), στον Ιδιωτικό τομέα ως επιστημονικός συνεργάτης και προπονητής υψηλού επιπέδου, (Ολυμπιακό. Σ.Φ.Π πετοσφαίριση Α1, Ανατόλια Α1, και σε ομοσπονδίες σε Ελλάδα και Κύπρο).

Coach of Volleyball, Sports Management, Ph.D.

Biography Leon Gaitanakis got his Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from the National Academy of Sport ‘Vasil Levski’, Sofia- Bulgaria in 1998. In 2013 he got his Master of Sport Administration (MSc) from University of Peloponnese, Sparta-Greece. In 2014 he is Ph.D. Student in Sport Tourism, especially in politics and planning of sports tourism, from the University of the Peloponnese. He has a 18 years working experience in various coaching, scouting, teaching, lecturing and managerial positions in the sports industry. He has been working as a coach and analyzer of volleyball at the many teams and countries, as a teacher of Physical Education at Sport School’s in secondary education and as a lab assistant in higher education. Today work as coach and analyzer of volleyball, part time in sport events and projects as operational manager. He has published many refereed articles in several international journals and conference’s. He is working as specialist on Sport Management, and as a researcher for Sport Tourism Education.
