Swimming 4a Cure

An update on Swimming 4a Cure. The swim will be held again in 2024 with some changes. It is now being managed by Cure Caner . It will now be known as Swim for a Cure
The swim will be held during March 2024 - participants will nominate the distance they plan to swim over the month.
As many of you know I started running this event in 2020. I am keen to see it continue.
Please help support this swim by either choosing to swim or sponsor a swimmer.

Swimming for a Cure has changed. It is now a monthly event run by Cure Cancer. Kit will be held during March 2024. Come and join us. Or donate or to a swimmer. I will be forming a team for people to join very soon! Watch this space.

Together, we can cure cancer!

Take on the Challenge:
• Participants decide what distance they would like to swim during the period of the challenge, i.e. 10km, 20km. May be swum in a pool or open water.

To all Swimming 4a Cure supporters.

Are you still thinking of joining the next challenge. If you have been putting off signing up, it begins in 3 days' time. Even though you can still join after 1 January, why not join from the start of the event and be part of all the challenges. Also more opportunity to win some great prizes.

Meet Jeanie Duma who has just signed up for Swimming 4a Cure 2023.
Here is Jeanie's reason as to why she has signed up for the swim: A cancer diagnosis is heartbreaking for any individual and their family and I have seen too many friends and colleagues be in this situation. To honour the memory of those who sadly have lost their cancer fight, whilst also cherishing the cancer warriors and survivors still with us, I want to do my part to make a difference.

We have a swimmer all the way from Greece who is joining SSwimming 4a Curein 2023. Here what she has to say.

I am thrilled that I have joined this community.
I am an Oncologist in Greece and I Participate to triathlon races in my free time(!) … I have decided to join this challenge as I think that is a great opportunity to help people dealing with cancer and help my friend Helen Rubin raise money for this purpose… all together we can make a difference… below are some photos from some of my races especially for charity reasons… wish every luck to this very good challenge… keep going dear Helen … my mind and heart is with you and your effort… “exercise is medicine”
