Brooklyn Half Marathon from Prospect Park to Coney Island. Super disappointed with my finish time due to my calf's cramping up towards the end. But nonetheless, a well run race with 26,000 runners finishing on the coney island board walk.

This mornings lower Manhattan run, to Brooklyn (via the Williamsburg Bridge), back to Manhattan, reminded me of my running days in Crete. Hot and Humid! Gotta get out earlier, it's only going to get worse.

So while I'm back in the UK for a while, I try to get one Parkrun done in Heaton Park in Prestwich. These are the 5km free to participate 'races' all over the UK (as well as some in Australia, USA & other European countries). This one includes 1½ times up the infamous Angina Hill!
Got to admit, I didn't feel particularly great before or during this one, but time was OK. I was 79th out of nearly 650 participants!!

Ρέτζακας Trail Run 8k - great race, really well organised, loads of 'added value'.

Finished 31st overall, 5th M50 (they don't do M60, γιατί;) - if only I could run down from the waterfall, instead of tip-toeing down it 😂
