Sallahs FC have secured their place in the GFF Women’s Second Division League for next season after a hard fought 1:0 victory over Prisons FC.

The decisive goal came in the 43rd minute, with Amie Colley finding the back of the net from a brilliant assist by captain Ansel Mendy.

The Head Coach of Sallah’s FC, Salifu Ben Manjang, together with the team captain, Ansel Mendy, yesterday Thursday attended the opening ceremony of the Gambia Women’s Football Strategic Plan 2026–2030 held at Old Yundum.

The important gathering brought together First Division and Second Division clubs, regional presidents, club presidents, and team captains as stakeholders continue discussions aimed at developing and promoting women’s football in The Gambia.

The official launching of the strategic plan is scheduled for this coming Saturday.

Under the bright spirit of the Inter Kabilo Football Tournament organized by the Tanji Youths and Sport Development Committee (TYSDC), Satehbakono smiled with a hard fought 1:0 victory over New Town earlier today.

The defending champions, Dollars FC, stood tall once again, defeating arch rivals Amsterdam FC in a thrilling final at Tanji Mini Park.

It all started early, Sarjo Badjie curled in a stunning free kick in the 7th minute to break the deadlock. Amsterdam responded quickly, Alassan Saidy calmly converting from the spot in the 11th minute. But just before halftime, Kitabu Sanneh restored the lead for Dollars FC with a well taken penalty 2:1 at the break.

The second half was a test of resilience. Amsterdam pushed, but Dollars’ goalkeeper rose like a wall, producing heroic saves to deny any comeback.
