Cannon Football Club: 2025 Year Review

2025 was truly the year of Cannon Football Club.

The year started on a high note with a trophy win that ended a 14-year trophy drought. Winning the Basse Subzone Knockout Trophy in January 2025 was a magical moment for the club and its supporters 🏆.

Next came the Super Cup, where we narrowly lost, but our heads were held high in support of the spirited performance displayed by the men in blue on the day.

The Naweetan football season kicked off almost immediately after the Super Cup. Cannon brushed through the group stages and made it to the semi-finals of both the league and knockout competitions. While expectations for silverware were high, finishing as the fourth-best team in the league and third-best team in the knockout tournament proved that Cannon remains a force to be reckoned with in Basse football.

Overall, it was a successful year, and we look forward with great enthusiasm to achieving even greater results next season.

Back to Back Semi-finals!!!

Cannon FC has yet once again made it to the Semi-finals of the Basse Subzone Knockout trophy after defeating Kansala FC today through a penalty shootout which ended 5-3.

The game was tightly contested, with the boys showing great resilience throughout the game. Our golden homegrown talent Cherno Bah sparked a comeback in the 55th minute to level the scores. (1-1)

The lads now move fervently with the trophy set in mind!

After a tightly contested match, Cannon FC emerged victorious to book their place in the Quarterfinals of the Basse Subzone Knockout Tournament.
