The Gambia Wrestling Association is pleased to announce its national team coaches.

Mr. Sulayman Bah(Boy Melek) has been appointed as the head coach of the national team, while Pape Senghore will serve as the head coach for the U17 and U20 teams, with Baboucarr Ngallen as his assistant.

A delegation led by the Secretary General of Gambia Wrestling Association, Aish Corr, and Ala Promotion handed over the battle flag between Buwaso of Club Kerr Njorr and Gaindeh of Farafinni to Refet Jenitez Kafo President Mrs. Aji Fanta Badjie in her residence in Bijilo last week.

It was one of a kind in Gambian wrestling history, where only a flag presentation was welcomed like this, with all 250 active members of the group present. Lunch and entertainment were provided for the beauty of the day.

On behalf of the group, the President of the group promised to come out in large numbers to support GWA in their event and pledged to continue supporting Gambian wrestling both morally and financially.

**Independence Celebration: The Gambia at 60th Wrestling Competition Holds Another Discussion**

The select committee for the 18th February Independence Celebration wrestling competition, under the leadership of Mr. Matarr Saine , the president of the Gambia Wrestling Association , hosted another successful meeting today at the President International Award Skills Hall to strategize and discuss other necessary means needed for the success of the event.

This wrestling event, sponsored by the government of The Gambia, will be held at McCarthy Square in Banjul as part of the Independence Celebration to empower Gambian youths.

We thank the President of the Republic of The Gambia, His Excellency President Adama Barrow PORG, the main sponsor of the event, and the Chief of Staff, Mod K. Ceesay, for this great initiative to promote and empower wrestling and the youths of this country.
