GPF MALE TEAM POSTPONES THEIR TRIAL UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

The Gambia Police Force (GPF) men's team, under the auspices of Alieu Kebbeh and the sports management, informs the general public that their trial scheduled for Monday, November 3rd, 2025, is now postponed until further notice.

The Police men's team is competing in Banjul's third (3rd) division league and was last year's finalist. The main purpose of the trials is to give the management an opportunity to redesign and improve the team ahead of the new season.

We deeply apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and any new date will be communicated accordingly to the general public.

POLICE FOOTBALL CLUB OPEN TRIAL NOTICE

The Management of Police Football Club wishes to inform the general public—especially talented and aspiring footballers—that the club will be conducting open trials ahead of the 2025/2026 football season.

As one of the country’s most established and disciplined football institutions, Police FC remains committed to identifying, developing, and promoting young talents through a structured and professional football environment. These trials aim to scout potential players who can strengthen the team and represent the club in the upcoming Third Division competitions.

The trials are open to all interested players, and everyone is encouraged to come out and showcase their talent. Police Football Club belongs to us all — let’s come together and take this opportunity to be part of something bigger.

Hello everyone,

As we have successfully concluded the ECOMIG Football Tournament, where we proudly represented the Gambia Police Force with discipline, courage, and commitment. We are delighted to have secured 3rd place and also won the Golden Boot award.

A heartfelt thanks goes to the ECOMIG community in The Gambia for initiating and organizing this wonderful tournament. The main objective was to foster stronger ties between ECOMIG and the people of The Gambia, and indeed, the event was not only friendly and competitive but also filled with fun and entertainment.

We look forward to the next edition with optimism, hoping it will be an even greater success. Thank you all once again for your support and participation.

MEETING ON THE FOOTBALL COMPETITION BY THE ECOMIG

On August 12, 2025, the Economic Mission In The Gambia (ECOMIG) held a joint meeting at its headquarters with the Gambia Police Force, the Gambian Armed Forces (GAF), and Gambia Radio and Television Services (GRTS). The meeting focused on fostering relationships between security forces and the civilian sector.

According to the ECOMIG command, since their arrival in The Gambia, they have engaged in numerous community activities, including donating blood, building mosques, drilling boreholes, and sponsoring students. Staging this football competition will provide an opportunity to promote friendship, mutual respect, and a better understanding between ECOMIG personnel, sister security forces, and the local community.

The meeting concluded with the formation of various teams for the competition. The following teams will be participating:

1. ECOMIG
2. Police
3. Gambian Armed Forces (GAF)
4. Gambia Radio and Television Services (GRTS)

The competition will begin on August 16, 2025.
