You can still get seriously fit in your 40s.

But copying what you did at 25 probably isn’t the way to do it.

Your responsibilities have changed. Your recovery has changed. The amount of time you can realistically give to training has changed.

So your approach needs to change with it.

Train for the man you are now, rather than constantly trying to recreate the one you were 20 years ago.

If you’re ready to do that, DM me START

Physique Update

Just over 4 Weeks to go till the first show

Strength surprisingly is still holding and even pushing more than expected.

This prep has gone incredibly well in comparison to previous ones.

Hunger is very much there but it’s kept under control.

I believe that it’s because of my meals selection.

Every meal is a banger.

I haven’t hoarded all the biscuits and chocolates like I would normally do.

Never looked so good in my life and a higher weight.

Just barely been under 97kgs but no doubt it will come down further in the next couple of weeks.

Sleep is FARKED!

This time got myself a posing coach which is really helping me.

There are plenty of reasons I train.

This is probably the one I’ve spoken about the least.

Being a dad to a son with severe learning difficulties comes with challenges most people never see.

And for a long time, taking time for myself could come with a bit of guilt.

I see it differently now.

That hour training helps me come home with more patience, more energy and more of myself available for Max.

That matters far more to me than anything I see in the mirror.

Hey - it’s Lee.

My wife and Max are off to Sweden this week.

Max is competing in athletics at the Special Olympics.

And I'm incredibly proud of him.

Sport is a massive part of his life.

Swimming.

Running.

Football.

If there's something competitive happening, he'll probably want to be involved.

And watching how much he gets from it reminds me why I've always loved sport myself.

Then there's Luka.

He's just competed in the 400m at the Commonwealth Games and is about to head off to Cardiff, where he'll continue his athletics alongside university.

So apparently both my boys decided to make sport a fairly significant part of their lives.

I can't complain about that.

As a parent, you spend years wondering what parts of you your kids will inherit.

Not physically.

The other stuff.

Your interests.

Your habits.

Your attitude.

The things they watched you do without you even realising they were watching.

I've spent most of my life training.

Sport has given me some of the best experiences of my life.

And now I'm watching both of my sons create their own experiences through it.

That's better than anything I achieved myself.

Because your own medals eventually end up in a drawer somewhere.

Watching your kids discover what they're capable of?

That's different.

Good luck, Max.

Go and smash it.

I don’t talk about this side of my life very often.

Being Max’s dad has shaped a lot of who I am, including why looking after my own health matters so much to me.

There are difficult days. Tired days. Days where training is probably the last thing I feel like doing.

But I’ve learned that looking after myself gives me more to give him.

I’ll be sharing a little more of this side of my life from now on.

Not as a coach.

Just as his dad.

Summer can make training difficult when you’ve got kids, holidays and routines changing every other week.

But September changes that.

School is back. Your mornings have boundaries again. Your week becomes more predictable.

That gives you a decent window to actually build some momentum before Christmas rather than spending December planning another January comeback.

Want some structure around your training? DM me INFO and we’ll have a chat.

Hey - it’s Lee.
When I opened my September Fat Loss Challenge, I capped it at 15 people.

There are now only two places left.

I'm genuinely proud of that.

Obviously, from a business perspective, it's fantastic.

But there's another reason it means a lot to me.

Thirteen people have trusted me to help them change something they're currently unhappy with.

I never take that lightly.

And judging by conversations I've been having recently, I think people are ready for structure again.

Summer has been brilliant.

But it's also been long.

Holidays.

Kids off school.

Meals out.

Beach days.

Late nights.

Alcohol.

Training squeezed in wherever possible.

Eventually you start craving normality.

That's exactly what these six weeks are going to provide.

Three structured training sessions each week.

Nutrition targets.

Weekly check-ins.

Accountability.

A group of people all pushing towards the same thing.

Nothing extreme.

Just six weeks of getting back to doing the basics properly.

We start on September 14th.

Two places remain.

Once they're gone, I'm closing registration.

If you want one of them:

https://buy.stripe.com/7sY6oJ3Pb4dZdyDaqses004

That link gets you one of the remaining spots if available.

Then we get to work.

01/09/2026

Have a proper look at where you are right now.

Not where you planned to be. Not where you were before summer.

Where you actually are.

Now give yourself 11 weeks of structured training, better food and some accountability.

That’s enough time to make a noticeable difference.

If you want some structure for the next 6 weeks, DM me INFO.

Hey - it’s Lee.

August is basically done.

And tomorrow you'll see the usual stuff everywhere.

New month.

Fresh start.

Time to get back on track.

I don't particularly like that way of thinking.

Because if you've done well this summer, why are you starting again?

You're not.

You're continuing.

And if things haven't gone particularly well, September doesn't magically wipe the slate clean either.

Instead, I'd audit August.

Ask yourself:

What worked?

What didn't?

What made training easier?

Where did your nutrition fall apart?

What habits survived summer?

Which ones disappeared?

Then take the useful stuff into September and change what clearly wasn't working.

That's far more useful than another dramatic fresh start.

Because life isn't suddenly going to become easy tomorrow.

School starts.

Work gets busier.

Routines change.

Then October arrives.

Then November.

Then someone mentions Christmas and suddenly it's:

“I'll start properly in January.”

That's how entire years disappear.

September doesn't need a new version of you.

It needs the version that's learned something from August.

Take the wins.

Learn from the mistakes.

Keep moving.

That's the weekly standard.
