The Black Stars midfielder Francis Abu has successfully undergone surgery in Japan after sustaining fractures to two bones during the Ghana–Japan match. With support from Dr. Prince Pambo, medical staff from Toulouse FC, and the Japanese surgical team, Abu has begun the acute phase of his rehabilitation.
To aid his recovery, one physiotherapist will remain with him for intensive therapy, and arrangements are being made for a senior technical team member to accompany him back to France once he is discharged from Toyota Memorial Hospital.
The GFA expressed gratitude to everyone involved, especially the Black Stars management and technical team, for their continued support throughout the process.
