UPDATE ON POSTPONDMENT AND RESCHEDULE.

Good Evening to you all.
PBC extend warm greetings to everyone and our condolences to the Kalijiisa people.

We sincerely apologize for the delay in communicating our decision on the recent matter concerning KALIJIISA FC vs FIISA FC match.
Our decision was purely based on moral and humanitarian grounds.

We have communicated our decision to postpone their match due to the gravity of the situation but it seems the coach of FIISA FC didn't receive it kindly. We sincerely apologize to the management of Fiisa for any inconveniences caused.

Due to the postponement of the said game, we found it difficult to adjust to our initial schedule. We've been forced to extend the days and send the GRAND FINALE to
𝟭𝟴𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱.

We have therefore rescheduled all games except the SUWARINSA FC vs KALIJIISA YOUNGSA match, which is 𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄,𝟭𝟮𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱.

We entreat all team managers and coaches to go through the new schedule thoroughly to know when they are playing.

Once again, we apologize for any inconveniences caused.

Thank you.

Today's match has chalked itself into the records of the Sandema Zone Feok Community Games as one of the best matches of this year.

The game was so full of football spices in their right quantities and the fans loved every bit of the game.

Every department of the two teams setup was up to the task and match each other boot to boot.

Both goalkeepers were very excellent and pulled off breathtaking saves to make sure their side stays in the game.

The defense of both teams were on point with timely clearances and interceptions that could've easily changed the game.

The midfield area was more of a battlefield with both teams always trying to muscle their way out when the passes fail.

A lot of yellow cards were shown by the no nonsense referee ABAYARUK MICHAEL as he tried very well to put the game under his control.

Both teams really played well but goal scoring was the biggest challenge for them.

The game should've recorded many goals but the poor finishes, goalkeeper saves and timely clearance of the defends made sure the game ended in a bore draw.

At the end, it was 𝘽𝙄𝙇𝙄𝙉𝙎𝘼 𝙎𝙋𝙊𝙍𝙏𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙇𝙄𝙊𝙉𝙎 0-0 𝘽𝘼𝙇𝘼𝙉𝙎𝘼 𝙁𝘾.

As the rules of the tournament demands, the game went straight to penalty kicks.

There was a lot of drama during the kicks. After the first five kickers of both teams, there was tension on the remaining players of both teams. Some did not even want to go for the kick sef.

This is a summary of the penalty kicks:
𝘽𝙄𝙇𝙄𝙉𝙎𝘼: √ √ √ x x √ √ x = 5
𝘽𝘼𝙇𝘼𝙉𝙎𝘼 𝙁𝘾: ✓ ✓ x ✓ x ✓✓✓ = 6

𝘽𝘼𝙇𝘼𝙉𝙎𝘼 𝙁𝘾 after an impressive penalty kicks won the game by 6-5.
They exhibited share determination, resilience and fought against all odds to win the game on penalties.

They will be meeting ABIL-YERI FC in the Semi-final.

BILINSA SPORTING LIONS have shown how best they are after coming top of their group. Penalties is anyone's game and so there's no shame in this. Better luck to them next year.

FIRST HALF:

The match started pretty slow as both teams were measuring the strength of their opponents.

KANDEMA FC built themselves into the game like how real underdogs do.

They really took everyone by surprise how they quickly switched to a high press.

Their constant press led to ABIL-YERI FC making so many mistakes.

KANDEMA FC opened the score sheet with a brilliant move. Their right winger after receiving the ball controlled it nicely before going past two players of ABIL-YERI FC. He then laid a very nice through ball to 𝐁𝐑𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐀𝐆𝐀𝐀𝐒𝐀(KANDEMA FC) who after a good ran with the ball played it past the goalKeeper of ABIL-YERI FC into the bottom left corner of the goalposts. The score became ABIL-YERI FC 0-1 KANDEMA FC.

ABIL-YERI FC after several attempts and well coordinated passes got an equalizer on the 27th min. Their workerholic striker(TARIQ ANAAB) dashed out to pick a pass at the right wing and after creating space, he gave a low cross in the 16yard of the KANDEMA FC goal area which was then tapped in by 𝐉𝐔𝐃𝐄 𝐀𝐁𝐀𝐘𝐀𝐑𝐔𝐊(ABIL-YERI FC) to make it 1-1.

KANDEMA FC restored their lead after a free kick was played through the the defense of ABIL-YERI FC. 𝐀𝐆𝐎𝐀𝐊 𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐏𝐇𝐄𝐑(KANDEMA FC) took advantage of a miscommunication by two defenders of ABIL-YERI FC, and lifted it high past the experienced ABOLIK GIDEON into the net.
The score became ABIL-YERI FC 1-2 KANDEMA FC.

The first half ended 2-1 in favor of KANDEMA FC.

SECOND HALF:

The second half was more of a 50/50 game at the start but KANDEMA FC decided to defend their lead, leaving the ball for ABIL-YERI FC play.

The substitutions of ABIL-YERI FC really helped them to stabilize the game.

KANDEMA FC played very well and their defensive strategy was very excellent as they succeeded in frustrating the players of ABIL-YERI FC.

All looked like a KANDEMA FC win until the dieing minutes of the game.

ABIL-YERI FC benefited from a very controversial goal which according to many was a blunder from the referees.

At the right side of the KANDEMA FC half, a scrambled ball which arguably went out of play was watched on by the KANDEMA FC defenders, thinking they will whistle for a goal kick. The player of ABIL-YERI FC involved in the incident hesitated a bit but after realizing the whistle was not blown, went ahead to score which the referee pointed to the center for a goal.

The game was disrupted and the KANDEMA FC team wanted to walk out.
Though they had a genuine case(because many at that area, including the security personnel on duty admitted the ball had gone out of play), walking out wasn't the best of decisions.
Calm was restored and the game continued.
The scored stood at 2-2.

There was nothing much played as the demoralized KANDEMA FC players were so down emotionally.

The game ended 2-2 and went straight to penalty kicks.

ABIL-YERI FC after missing just a penalty and KANDEMA FC missing two, won the game by 4-3.

I must admit, the attitude of the ABIL-YERI FC fans was nothing to write home about. They complained a lot about the officiating to an extent they threatened to end the games entirely. The threats directed at the referees and organizers were uncalled for.
At the end they were the very people who benefited from a referees blunder which none of them wanted to talk about.

In the midst of all that, the lead coach of ABIL-YERI FC (LUCAS ABAKISI) stood out. He was very gentle and minded the business he was tasked to do.
That is what we expect from all the coaches and team management.

KANDEMA FC filed a protest during the game, challenging the eligibility of APOCHAAB EDMOND (ABIL-YERI FC). They said "he was registered as a coach and not a player."

After checks and thorough investigations, the committee found nothing supporting their claim. The protest was solved amicably and we hope to learn from all that happened.

TOMORROW is another big day for us.

Today's match was an all to play for game. The winner is secures a second place qualification to the next stage of the tournament.
SUWARINSA FC sits comfortably on the top of their standings.

FIRST HALF:

BALANSA FC started the game very well. They used experience, together with energy to pile pressure on the KOBDEMA/LONGSA FC players.

The pressure from BALANSA FC nearly paid off when their left winger(Ismael) went on a counter attack but his last kick was very poor and ended up wasting the precious chance.

Another glorious chance fell on the feet of YABANI SAMUEL of BALANSA FC but his ambitious strike was off target.

A player of KOBDEMA/LONGSA FC picked up a loose ball in the 18yard of BALANSA FC, but his powerful shot was pushed away by the goalKeeper of BALANSA FC. It was a master class save which made him receive applause from all angles of the stadium.

The striker of KOBDEMA/LONGSA FC finished a ball nicely but the goal was ruled offside.

The first half ended 𝟬-𝟬.

SECOND HALF:

The second half of the game was more of a 50/50 game. Both teams pushed to see if they can get a goal in order to dodge penalty kicks.

In the process of pushing for a goal, the defense of KOBDEMA/LONGSA FC were caught sleeping when a long ball was played into their half.
Striker YABANI SAMUEL race past all the defenders of KOBDEMA/LONGSA FC with the ball, leaving him face to face with the goalKeeper.
With composer and precision, he calmly placed it into the bottom left corner of the goalpost.

The score became BALANSA FC 1-0 KOBDEMA LONGSA FC.

KOBDEMA/LONGSA FC after making responsive substitutions took over the game for while but BALANSA FC also made changes that matched their energy.

BALANSA FC who were supposed to be leading by 4-0 managed to protect their 1 goal lead to the end of the match.

The score at the end of the final whistle was BALANSA FC 1-0 KOBDEMA/LONGSA FC.

Today's game was not really a serious one as both teams have already qualified for the next stage of the tournament.
But hey, there was more to play for because it was a determinant of who tops the group.

FIRST HALF:
ABIL-YERI FC known for their intimidation on and off the field came prepared to top the group.
They started very well and tried to get an early goal.

FIISA FC on the other hand defended very well and relied on long balls and counter attack.

The pressure from ABIL-YERI FC made the goalKeeper of FIISA FC to commit a foul on the edge of the penalty area, that attracted him a yellow card. The resulting free kick was eventually wasted by ABIL-YERI FC.

The no.14 shirted man for ABIL-YERI FC (JUDE), dribbled past five defenders including the goalKeeper of FIISA FC. He then played the ball towards goal but it was mistakenly kicked into the goalposts by the captain of FIISA FC in an attempt to clear the ball away.

The score became FIISA FC 0-1 ABIL-YERI FC.

FIISA FC tried a surprise counter attack after passing but the ball was wasted.

The score stayed at 1-0 for the first half.

SECOND HALF:

After piles of pressure from FIISA FC, one could see clear exustion from the players of ABIL-YERI FC.

The goalKeeper of ABIL-YERI FC was excellent. He save them from dangerous situations and made sure he kept a clean sheet.

FIISA FC tried all they could but the defense and goalkeeper of ABIL-YERI FC made sure the one goal they scored was enough to win them the match.

ABIL-YERI FC demonstrated resilience and top class game management.
