A repeat of last season’s biggest statements is back again this Sunday as Rooney X1 faces reigning champions Underlight FC in another exciting preseason friendly.

Last year, Rooney X1 shocked many after defeating the eventual champions Underlight FC during the tournament campaign. Now both sides meet again as they continue preparations ahead of the main Homowo Futsal Tournament.

After featuring in the competition two years ago, C**k City returns to the spotlight this weekend in an exciting friendly clash against High Spirits FC , a side heavily dominated by top talents in Dawenya.

The Homowo Futsal League has now become a platform attracting even non-active tournament teams to stay competitive during the preseason period. After a tense and highly competitive preseason encounter, Don Ziggy FC held Vanity FC to a goalless draw in a match filled with intensity and tactical discipline.

Speaking after the game in a video interview, the head coach of Don Ziggy FC sent a strong message ahead of this year’s tournament, stating that his side will “talk less and work more” as they set their sights firmly on winning the title this season.

The coach further revealed that the team’s early exit from last year’s competition was caused by “small small mistakes,” but assured supporters that those lapses are currently being worked on and corrected ahead of the big tournament.

Vanity FC return to the spotlight after years away, a side once at the centre of controversy but still respected for their quality. Their past includes a 4–2 win that was later overturned due to fielding unqualified players,an incident that led to sanctions and their exit from the competition.
