Future Stars CEO pens heartfelt acceptance message after WAFU Zone B Appointment.
Chief Executive Officer of Future Stars Stephen Appiah has penned a heartwarming acceptance message following his appointment onto the Local Organizing Committee of the WAFU Zone B U-20 Women's Cup of Nations.
The Ghana Football Association on Tuesday, April 11, reconstituted the LOC for the WAFU Zone B U-20 Women's competition with Ashanti Region Football Association head Osei Tutu Agyemang serving as the new chairman.
Other members of the committee include the CEOs of Kwamo-based Future Stars Stephen Appiah, Frank Todd Amoah of Ashtown Ladies and Madam Evelyn Nsiah Asare of Hasaacas Ladies.
Reflecting on his appointment, Mr Appiah wrote:
"I am with this missive expressing my profound gratitude and appreciation for my appointment as a member of the organizing committee of WAFU Zone B Womenβs Cup of Nations.
"I deem it a great honor bestowed upon me to serve on this committee. Womenβs football should be given all the support it needs for it to thrive and attract the interest of sponsors.
"I look forward to working in tandem with the other members of the committee to achieve the desired aim and objective.
"Looking forward to the consolidation of knowledge and experiences of all members in order for the committee to function effectively. May this tournament go on successfully devoid of any hitches.
"Once again, I am very much pleased and grateful for the opportunity."
The LOC is expected to provide oversight, support and advice to the tournament organisers on planning and ex*****on.
Part of their responsibility is to source funds for the organization and also provide local operational needs to the organisers for a successful tournament.
The 1st edition of the WAFU B Womenβs U-20 Cup of Nations is scheduled for Kumasi from Saturday, May 20 to Sunday, June 04, 2023.
Seven countries have confirmed their participation in the tournament and they include Niger, Benin, Ivory Coast, Togo and Burkina Faso, Nigeria and the host Ghana.
