*Prempeh College Athletic Oval Update #21*
The Athletic Project Committee Leadership through Chairman Nana Brogya Sarpong continued the Journey of fulfilling the dream of the project in the United States of America. New Jersey, Beverly Hills, and New York were the cities that hoste the project Project Chairman between the 25-27 March 2023.
During a visit to philanthropist and Plastic Surgeon, Snr. Dr. Michael Obeng on his 50th birthday on 25th March, he discussed project support which received favourable response. Additionally, Chairman Nana Brogya Sarpong took the opportunity to also meet a delegation of indigenes of the Agogo traditional area where he draws traditional authority.
Later, he met with Snr. Wahid Hage of Wconsult Sports International, Lead Consultant for the Athletic Oval Project. Over the years his consultancy has been dedicated to sports development and consistent support to Prempeh College.
Subsequently, a road map for the next phase of the project was discussed and documented for the approval from the planning committee.
Further, the Chairman visited track and field edifices strengthening his conviction and drive to see to the success of the project. Chairman Nana Brogya Sarpong is the third project planning committee member to make visits to track and field infrastructure
after Snrs Peter Agyeman(Robotics) and Stallon Nyarko(Ministry of Communications), all facilitated by Snr Wahid Hage.
In view of such visits, talks are underway with "The Track at New Balance" an organization under the Umbrella of New Balance Sports USA, dedicated to building Track & Field facilities to look into our proposal and consider supporting.
Similar support seeking proposals have been submitted to Ghana Gas, GMPC, MTN and other targeted Corporate organizations.
As the mantra goes "It can be done, it must be done" - we are committed to delivering this highly impactful project.
