The volta Regional Football Association Second Badge License D Coaching Course which commence on 7th August has come to an end on 14th August 2023 at Ho Military Barracks, 46 Participant’s across the region went through this surgery as well Program’s like Grassroot Football Practical,Grassroot Football Theory and basic knowledge in First Aid Record Keeping Kits.

Indeep the workshop has intrench 3 Coaches from Hohoe namely; Mr.Elvis Mensah (Shaby) Anointed Stars Football coach, Mr.Issah Mohammed Olympic Athletic Sporting Club and Mr.Raymoon Appiah (Iya) currently Openedhearts Football Coach. Hope with this involvement this coaches will uplift Hohoe Municipal Grassroot Football and grant them the basic knowledge in Football.

However this workshop organized by Volta Regional Football Association has parade Ghana Football Association executives like,; Mr.Abukari Damba Head Instructor (Exco member of the Black stars),Mr. Kwasi ( Okotor) Assistant instructor and the Volta Regional Football Association Chairman Mr.Daniel Agboga were present through out the workshop.

Also in the closing remark or the volta RFA Chairman Mr.Agboga indicate in his speech that; This workshop has been one of the best ever enrollment in the region due to the prizes that went at stake. Again edged the 46 participants to used the workshop as experience to measure and develop Grassroot Football in their various community and in the region as whole.

RULES OF POSSESSION

Possession is the key in ensuring a smooth progression up the pitch and is no surprise all teams that use a positional play approach seek to develop possession in one way or another. To successfully attain possession of the ball a team must be proficient in the technique of receiving the ball, first touch and passing of the ball as well as making the correct decisions. To develop possession football, it is necessary to follow certain rules:

• playing to safe options and keeping it simple
• supporting in time and at adequate distances and angles
• being in passing lanes but not the same passing lanes as team-mates (options on the left, right and centre)
• playing at a high tempo in tight areas with few touches on the ball
• playing what you see and not turning blindly unless told
• ensuring the first touch is away from pressure
• avoid playing to a marked player
