*REAL CHEREPONI UNITED - RCU EMBARKS ON TOWNSHIP CLEAN-UP EXERCISE AHEAD OF NEW SEASON*

*CHEREPONI, North East Region* - In a powerful show of community service and social responsibility, players and management of Real Chereponi United (RCU) have organized a massive clean-up exercise across the Chereponi Township.

The exercise, which saw the enthusiastic participation of the entire playing body and technical team, was made possible through the support of *Chereponi Lens 360*.

The team focused on desilting and removing blockages along the course of major township gutters, drains and other relevant but neglected and seedy locations within the community. The intervention comes at a critical time as the rainy season is at its peak, to allow for free flow of water and prevent flooding.

This initiative has become necessary in line with the shared vision of both current and previous leaders of Chereponi to make Chereponi the cleanest community in the three Northern Regions (Northern, North East and Upper East & West terrain).

Speaking during the exercise, the leadership of RCU stated that as the new season's activities are about to start, the club deemed it fit to give back to the community that has carried the club through every difficult situation.

"RCU is more than just a football club, we are a product of this community. This community has supported us to and from every difficult situation. Embarking on this clean-up is our modest way of saying thank you and serving the people who have always stood by us," the management noted.

The management and players of RCU wish to express their sincere gratitude to the Member of Parliament (MP) for Chereponi Constituency and the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Chereponi District for their continuous support to the club and to development efforts in the area.

The club also extends profound appreciation to the good people of Chereponi for their encouragement and cooperation during the exercise.
