DG-CID & CEO OF POLICE LADIES FC COMMENDS TEAM FOR RECENT SUCCESSES
The Director-General of the Criminal Investigations Department (DG-CID) and Chief Executive Officer of Police Ladies Football Club, COP Mrs. Lydia Yaako Donkor, has commended Police Ladies FC for their recent impressive performances and reaffirmed her commitment to supporting the continued growth of the team.
During an interaction with players and officials at the CID Headquarters, COP Mrs. Donkor congratulated the team for emerging champions of the maiden Democracy Cup and also recording another victory over Army Ladies FC at the Mini SESSA Games.
She explained that although recent official engagements had kept her away from some of the team’s activities, she had continued to closely follow their progress and was proud of their achievements.
As a gesture of appreciation and encouragement, the DG-CID presented gifts and a cash donation to the team in recognition of their commitment, discipline and recent successes.
COP Mrs. Donkor also warmly welcomed the new players into the Police Ladies FC family and encouraged the entire playing body to remain disciplined, hardworking, dedicated and focused, reminding them that they represent not only the club but also the values and image of the Ghana Police Service.
She further assured the team of her continuous support as they work towards achieving greater success in upcoming competitions.
The engagement was attended ASP Benjamin Amissah, Sports Security officer, team officials and players.
The Ghana Police Sports Unit appreciates the leadership and continued support of the DG-CID and CEO of Police Ladies FC towards the development, welfare and success of the team.
