Last month, the NFL/ IFAF coaches clinic was held in Accra for the second year with about 11 African federations taking part in the event that ran from 6th to 29th March , 2026 at the Legon Rugby Field.
We had Coaches Training Day. Teachers Training Day and IFAF Coaches Training conference that had guest coaches from the United Kingdom and United States as well Sport Director of IFAF Media Mr Lars Calsen and NFL Flag International Development head Afia Law in attendance.

It was such a packed , knowledge sharing and fun event. Also, the camaraderie from all the participating nations was exceptional with a shared goal of growing flag football on the continent of Africa and beyond.

We at GAFF are appreciative of these efforts by the NFL Africa and and welcome more collaborations in the foreseeable future.

Yesterday, delegation from Ghana American Football Federation Mr Wahab Larry , Hamza Jibril, Abdul Razak and Mudasir Shuaib , IFAF Media , the world governing authoirty of American football and Flag football represented by Mr Lars Calsen and NFL Africa representative Madam Afia Law had the privilege of meeting with the General Secretary of the Ghana Olympic Committee General Secretary Mr Mohammed Muniru Kassim Esq to meet and discuss matters around the Olympic movement and growth of flag football in Ghana .

We reported to him the great work being doone already and the need for more support from.his outfit and all stakeholders.

It was a very uplifting engagement one that gives the country of hope fielding more sports to the Olympics games.

The future of our sport is encouraging
