Opening Ceremony | Glasgow 2026
Team Ghana arrived just as we expected in colour, culture, and confidence.

Dressed proudly in their traditional smocks and carrying the Ghana flag high, our contingent made a memorable entrance, even finding their rhythm to a touch of Scottish music along the way.

As the celebrations continued into the night, some of our swimmers called it an early evening, with an early start awaiting them in the pool. Competition begins in earnest tomorrow with the morning heats.

We pray they compete with courage, determination, and excellence, giving nothing less than their very best.
From Ghana to Glasgow, we stand behind you every stroke of the way.
