The controversy surrounding the Theo and Tebeh case continues to develop after Theo officially submitted another appeal challenging the latest decision from the Liberia Football Association (LFA).
The latest move comes after Tebeh won their appeal, which overturned the earlier decision that had initially recognized Theo as the winners. Following that outcome, Theo has decided to pursue another review of the matter by filing a fresh appeal and paying the required L$50,000 appeal fee.
Theoโs appeal is focused on the disputed yellow card incident from the match, particularly the question of which player was officially booked by the referee.
Theoโs position is that the match official who handled the game was present during the incident and has already clarified the situation. The referee reportedly confirmed that Williams was the player who received the yellow card, and that the decision recorded during the match was accurate.
However, during the appeal proceedings, Cancel Jackson challenged that explanation, suggesting that the referee had made an error when identifying the player who received the caution.
The referee, however, maintained his original position, insisting that the booking was not a mistake and that the yellow card was shown to the player he identified during the match.
With this new appeal, Theo is asking the LFA to take another look at the refereeโs statement, match records, and all supporting evidence before reaching a final conclusion.
The matter now returns to the hands of the football authorities, who will have the responsibility of reviewing the new arguments presented by Theo alongside the previous decisions.
As the appeal process continues, attention remains on whether the latest evidence will lead to a change in the outcome or whether Tebehโs victory will remain confirmed.
