🙌🏻🎉 ITS VOLUNTEER WEEK! 🎉🙌
We need to shout from the rooftops and say a MASSIVE, LOUD, THANK YOU to EVERY single volunteer at Ystradgynlais AFC. past, present, and anyone who’s ever stepped in to help (even if you only came to drop off biscuits and got roped in for 3 years 🤷🏻♀️)!
Whether you’re:
⚽ Coaching: shouting so loud you lose your voice, teaching players to pass (and occasionally teaching them not to argue with the ref)
📝 Admin legends: fighting spreadsheets, emails, and paperwork that multiply like rabbits, and somehow keeping the club running while everyone else is just thinking about the next pint
🍲 Cooking heroes: feeding hungry players, parents, and officials like you’re running a 5-star restaurant (and somehow making even the simplest food taste like a feast)
🍻 Bar crew: pouring pints, laughing through the chaos, and always being the best part of match day (we definitely come for the football… but stay for the banter and your service 😉)
🎛️ Behind-the-scenes wizards: fixing things that break, cleaning up after everyone else, organising everything, and doing 100 jobs no one even notices… until you’re not there!
Let’s be honest: without you lot, this club would literally collapse into a pile of football boots, empty teabags, and lost bibs. 🤯
You take time out of your own lives, your weekends, your evenings, and your sanity to keep Ystradgynlais AFC going, and we appreciate every single second of it. You’re the heartbeat, the glue, the secret sauce, and the absolute legends of this place.
