For those that believe that bowls is just a sedentary sport with little activity, here's the information on one 18 end match (as skip). Almost 2km walked, average heart rate is between the low intensity and weight loss regions and just under 1,400 calories burnt! In the game you do essentially 36 lunges/squats (depending on delivery style) and get a decent amount of steps in all whilst having a great time! Its a great way to stay fit and healthy without realising your doing so!

🎉 Ystrad Mynach Bowls Club Fun Open Day is Back! 🎉

Looking for a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon? Why not come along to our Fun Open Day on Sunday 16th August, 2pm–6pm at Ystrad Mynach Bowls Club!

Whether you've never picked up a bowl before or you're just looking for something different to do with family and friends, this is the perfect opportunity to give bowls a go in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. No experience is needed, and all ages are welcome!

We had our first session of junior bowls this evening! Was a little nervous if anyone would turn up but we ended up with a large number of juniors who loved the game and are looking forward to the next session! 3-4PM every Sunday! Come on down and give it a go over the summer holidays!
