The standard of tennis on show is going to be incredible. We genuinely believe this will be the highest level of tennis we’ve ever seen on Finals Day, with some of the best players in the club battling it out for those much-coveted trophies. 🏆

But Finals Day isn’t just about the finalists…

Come down from 12.30pm for the official opening of our incredible new courts by Judy Murray, grab a coffee from Mumbles Coffee, watch some brilliant tennis, support your fellow members, enjoy the atmosphere and then stick around for the Tuckers BBQ from 6.30pm. 🍔🎾

🎾 James O’Brien – New Career Move

We would like to wish James O’Brien all the very best as he takes the next step in his career, and thank him for all his hard work and commitment to Ace Tennis Coaching over the years. 👏

James’s new career move means we will sadly lose him from our coaching programme, which is a real shame. He will be missed by so many of our players and parents who have enjoyed having James on court over the years.

The good news is that James won’t be disappearing completely! He’ll still be around the club, playing for our teams and hopefully helping us out with the odd coaching session when needed. So, you’ll still see plenty of him around the place. 🎾

Head Coach David Williams:
“I’m really sad to see James move on. He’s been with us since the age of 6 or 7, so he’s literally come all the way through our programme. He started coaching with us at just 16 and has developed massively over the years.

“James has matured into a lovely young man and it’s been brilliant to watch his journey, both as a player and as a coach.

“His coaching has developed so much over the years, but what has always stood out to me is his nurturing personality and patience with players. He has a real ability to make the young and old people feel comfortable, supported and confident on court.

“We’re going to miss having him as part of the coaching team, but we’re incredibly proud of him and wish him every success in his new career. We’re delighted that he’ll still be part of the club and look forward to seeing him on court.”

🎾☀️ HOLIDAY CAMPS 2026 - THAT’S A WRAP! ☀️🎾

And just like that… 6 weeks of Holiday Camps are complete! 💙

What a summer it has been. We’ve had an incredible time watching hundreds of young players laugh, compete, learn, make friends and, most importantly, have FUN on court. 🎾🙌

🎾 Holiday Camps – Week 6 Complete! ☀️

And that’s a wrap on our summer camps! 💙🎾

What an incredible final week we’ve had, with another brilliant group of kids bringing loads of energy, enthusiasm and smiles to the courts.

This week we ran the camps for an extra hour, giving everyone even more time for tennis, games, competition and fun and it’s safe to say the kids seemed to absolutely love it! 🙌🎾

It’s been fantastic watching everyone play, improve, challenge themselves and, most importantly, enjoy spending time on court with their friends.

Girls 12 & Under

The girls were also in action on Thursday, with Poppy and Elizabeth coming out on top to secure their places in this year’s final. 👏🎾

What a final we have to look forward to between these two young superstars! 🌟

We can’t wait to see them battle it out for the 12 & Under Girls title on Finals Day in September. 🏆
