Martin has been outstanding for the 4th XI this season, consistently reliable behind the stumps and making a big impact with the bat too. A brilliant season from someone who gives everything for the team and the club! πŸ‘πŸ

Evan stepped up to keep wicket for the 1st XI in South Wales Premier League Division 2 and did a superb job at that level. A demanding role, taken on with real commitment and quality. πŸ’ͺπŸ’™

A committed member of our 3rd XI, Simon stepped up with the team into Division 4 this season and has contributed at both ends β€” dependable behind the stumps and equally capable with the bat. πŸ”₯πŸ‘

What a first season for Arun! πŸ‘πŸ”₯ Playing across multiple teams, from the 2nd XI through to the 4th XI, Arun made an impact wherever he was called upon and finishes the summer as our leading senior wicket taker with 20 wickets. 🏏πŸ’₯ A brilliant contribution in his first year with the club!

Coming over from Cape Town, South Africa πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦, Alex joined our 1st XI and immediately took on the responsibility of helping lead the attack. Pace, quality and plenty of wickets β€” 18 in his first season in Swansea. πŸ”₯🌍🏏

A great way for our 4th XI to sign off 2026, as captain Martin Ridgeway guided the boys to victory away at Dunvant! πŸ™Œ

Dunvant posted 190/7, with Sai Kallam and M J Chakradhar Palguna taking two wickets each, while Dhruv Mummigatti returned an excellent 1/17 from 6 overs. 🎯πŸ”₯

The chase was led by a brilliant 94 from Amit George πŸ’₯πŸ‘, with Ajith Alex unbeaten on 32 helping the 4ths get the job done and finish a tough season on a high! πŸ’ͺ🏏

The 2nd XI also managed to get some cricket in, but unfortunately went down to Felinfoel 2nds on the DLS method, while the rest of our senior fixtures fell victim to the weather. 🌧️

A huge thank you to Dunvant for getting the 4ths game completed despite the conditions. πŸ€πŸ‘ A well-deserved winning finish for Martin and the boys! πŸ’™πŸ©·

As we look back on our first season as Swansea & Civil Service Cricket Club, it’s time to celebrate the three batsmen who finished with the best senior batting averages across the club. πŸ’™πŸ©·πŸ‘

πŸ₯‡ Luke Smith β€” 45.00 average
πŸ₯ˆ Joshua Harrison β€” 43.67 average
πŸ₯‰ Rasith Jayarathne β€” 40.46 average

Luke takes top spot after a superbly consistent season, finishing with an excellent 45.00 average. 🏏πŸ”₯

Joshua follows incredibly closely on 43.67 and also earned his own little piece of club history this summer, becoming just the third player to score a 50 for the newly formed Swansea & Civil Service Cricket Club. πŸ‘5️⃣0οΈβƒ£πŸ’™πŸ©·

A huge congratulations to Mike Hayden Mike Hayden and Adam Glaznieks, who represented Wales Over-60s at the World Cup in Canada β€” with Mike captaining Wales on the world stage! πŸ‘πŸ”₯

Swansea & Civil Service were incredibly proud to be the only club in Wales with two current playing members in the squad. πŸ’™πŸ©·

Wales enjoyed a fantastic tournament, finishing 7th out of 14 teams and defeating eventual semi-finalists Pakistan along the way. 🏏🌍
