🚨 Little Riders Club Update 🚨

Sadly, we’ve made the difficult decision to close Little Riders Club for a while.

Due to the huge growth and demand at Tockwith Cycles, we’re now looking to expand into a larger unit. This is an exciting step forward, but it also means a lot more time and focus is needed from Jay, especially as we explore the possibility of stocking both new and used bikes.

To make this happen, we’ve decided to pause Little Riders Club for the time being… but we will be back.

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has ridden with us, your support has meant everything 💛

For any existing bookings, we’ll be in touch with you via private message.

Sorry for any disappointment, and thanks again for all your support.

Tockwith Cycles will still be operating as usual.

🚲 Little Riders Club Reminder! 🚲

Don’t forget, we have a great range of bikes in all sizes available for your child to use, perfect if they don’t own one yet. We’ve also got helmets ready to go, so everyone can ride safely!

All of our bikes are super lightweight, making them much easier (and more fun!) for little riders to handle and build confidence.

And if you’re looking for a bike of your own, don’t forget Tockwith Cycles stocks a fantastic range of pre-loved bikes too!

We will be at Tockwith Under 5's this Tuesday for some balance bike fun!

If your child can ride a balance bike, please come and join us!

We're excited to share that Little Riders Club by Tockwith Cycles will be joining us for a session on Tuesday 14th April 🚴🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️

Remember to bring your balance bike/bike and helmets so you can join in the fun!

All the usual fun will be happening inside too!

Meet the Instructor 👋🚲

Hello, I’m Jay the owner of Little Riders Club.

As a father of three and part of a keen cycling family, I’m passionate about getting as many children riding bikes as possible and helping them build confidence on two wheels.

When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me out cycling with my family, or heading out on my road bike or mountain bike 🚵‍♂️

During the week, while our children are at school, I teach Bikeability to pupils across schools in York and you will often find me at our Tockwith Cycles HQ , where I carry out servicing, repairs, and refurbishments on children’s bikes ready for resale.

I have previously volunteered for Open Country who provide tandem cycling days for people who need extra support on a bike.

This is Florence.

Today she cycled her pedal bike for the first time!

Coming from balance bike she picked up peddling in 10 minutes and by the end of the session she was able to turn corners, stop and start herself and even follow another person in front.

Every single lesson has been amazing, and we now have a few more riders who are off and away! It’s so special to watch confidence grow in each child, it truly makes my job the best in the world. 💛
